Pecan Breaded Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2013
My kids ate it but this is not a have-again recipe for us.

Pineapple Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2013
After reading all the reviews, I made this and turned it upside down to cool. It immediately broke apart and out of the pan. Smells wonderful, though. I'm going to put it in a pretty bowl, add some fruit and whipped cream, and call it a truffle. :-)

Goulash Supreme

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
I think it's a fine goulash. For once, I didn't change the recipe and made it exactly as stated. Just now tasted it and am reminded of when I was a kid. I don't think anything needs changing.

Blackened Green Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2012
I learned this way to cook fresh green beans from my mother, who learned it from her mother and now my grandkids are watching me make green beans this way. We simmer them on the stovetop; have never tried the crock pot method. (Gramma didn't have a crock pot.) This recipe has apparently been enjoyed by many for at least a century. I love tradition!

Classic Minestrone

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2012
Even my picky kid ate some vegetables with this soup. It was that good! Tasted very authentic to me. I gave it four starts instead of five because I had to add some tomato paste to richen the broth and used a bit of garlic, too, just because.

Pistachio Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2012
One of my best recipes! When I take it to pot lucks, I print up several copies of the recipe beforehand because everyone wants it. My version uses pistachios in the crust instead of walnuts, and no maraschino cherries on top and it's fabulous.

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2012
One of the best cakes I've ever made. Everyone who tastes it wants seconds and the recipe. Amount if Irish Cream is just perfect...yummy and not too strong.

Chicken In Sour Cream

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
We like this. It was easy. I would not add any salt next time, though. Even a pinch is too much. Will make again.

Oh-So-Good Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
We didn't care much for this recipe. It was easy enough but was just fair, not worth doing again. One kid ate it rolled up in a tortilla.

Joanne's Super Hero Sandwich

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
This tastes wonderful but took me forever to put together and it's too messy to put in my teen's school lunch. Guess we'll have it for breakfast instead... ha!

Modenese Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
We liked this recipe a lot and will use it again. The kids ate every bite. The adults thought it was gourmet. I loved it because it was quick and easy! I used fresh rosemary and made a sauce from the drippings. Yum!

Cream of Celery Soup

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
I needed to use up some celery before it spoiled, so I thought this recipe was perfect since it called for a lot of celery. Because I didn't read the adjustable servings first, I ended up with 32 servings of a soup we didn't love. Learned a lesson here! :(

French Onion Soup II

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
Followed the recipe exactly but was not happy at all with the flavor. It was watery and bland. Maybe I didn't caramelize the onions long enough.
