Flank Steak Pinwheels

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2005
I had to use very thinly sliced top loin because they didn't have flank steak at the grocery store. I also used swiss cheese in place of the feta. The result was outstanding! My husband wants to make the steak again tonight, marinated and stir-fried with veggies. SO SO SO Good! And SO SO SO Easy! Thanks for the recipe!

Brownie Oat Cookies

Yum! I didn't have any problem with it being too dry. I made my cookies big so I only got about 20. I also added chocolate chips. Thanks!

Cocktail Meatballs III

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2005
Yum Yum Yum! These are great! I made a couple of changes. Like another reviewer, I used fat free sour cream instead of the half and half and used bread crumbs instead of the white bread. I also made the sauce on the stovetop instead of the slow cooker then added the meatballs after they baked. Very good! Thanks!

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: May 19, 2005
Love it! I used red onion, basil instead of cilantro and added one jalapeno pepper for heat. Perfect! One of the easiest and tastiest recipes I've ever made...Thanks!

Mango Salsa

Reviewed: May 19, 2005
Yummy! I served this with grilled tilapia. So good! I used fresh basil in place of the cilantro since I don't care for it and fresh lemon and lime juice. Great! Even better two days later! Thanks!

Slow Cooker Lancaster County Pork and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2005
We made some changes to this and it was wonderful! First of all, we left out the carraway seeds because I didn't think my husband would like their flavor. Second, we added 2 granny smith apples and about a 1/2 cup of beer. The result was fabulous! The pork was so tender. We will make again. Thanks!

Holiday Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2004
This is by far the easiest candy recipe I have ever used. And the flavor is wonderful! I used white chocolate chunks (what I had on hand) and it turned out better than I ever expected. My husband loves it! Thanks!

Susan's Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2004
They are not sweet enough. made the second batch adding a small amount of granulated sugar to the remaining dough and sprinkled sugar on top of the cookies before putting them in the oven. They taste okay...not something I would make again. But thank you for sharing your recipe!

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2004
These are really good! But, I will reduce the amount of chocolate chips next time because I really couldn't taste the peanut taste. They are really soft and chewy. Oh- I also dropped tablespoon amounts on the cookie sheets instead of 1/4 cup amounts and reduced the cooking time by about half. They were fine.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2004
I thought these turned out very well! I actually made the dough and put it in the freezer to chill. I meant to only leave it there for an hour but I forgot to get it out and it stayed in the freezer overnight. Anyway, when I finally began working with the dough (after it warmed a little bit) I didn't have any problem rolling it or with it being too sticky. Perhaps those reviewers who said it was too sticky hadn't cooled it enough before trying to roll. I also used the "Sugar Cookie Icing" found on this site and they were wonderful! I usually make cookies to send to my family for Easter so when I find a new recipe I have to test it out on my husband and friends first and they all loved it! Thanks for a winner!

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2003
My husband and I were very pleased with these biscuits! I actually made them in advance and refrigerated some of the dough for one day (8 biscuits) and froze the rest. The refrigerated ones cooked beautifully and tasted delicious! I'm trying some of the frozen ones tonight...I'm sure they'll be great too! To freeze them, I just dropped them on waxed paper coated with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Then wrap with plastic wrap and place in freezer for about 2 hours. After frozen, put biscuits in freezer storage bags and return to freezer. That way, you can make as many as you like! Thanks for a great recipe, Cookie!

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2003
Fabulous! The first time I made it, I didn't use a candy thermometor and the consistency was all wrong. Later, when using one, it came out wonderful! I sent some to my Dad for his birthday. Thanks for a great recipe!

Cream of Chicken with Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2003
My husband and I tried this recipe with a leftover smoked chicken and it was big disappointment. We also used a Minute Rice brown and wild rice blend and instead of precooking the rice, we added it at the same time we added the veggies to the broth. I didn't think it would make that much of a difference if we used the Minute Rice instead of regular rice but I guess it does! Besides that, the soup was way to bland for us. I would like to say we would try this recipe again using regular chicken and rice, but I'm afraid we won't. Thanks anyway.
