Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2004
I've gone to Wonder Bread to this! I don't think I will be buying store bread again. This is great! I usually through the ingredients in the bread machine the night before and set the timer for the morning and wake up to fresh bread!

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2003
Wonderful! We live in Germany and I miss the chicken fingers at the resturants in the states. This is the first time anything that I fried turned out correctly. I couldn't believe how moist the chicken was yet so crunchy. For those you think that it made to much for your family, scale it down, it does state in the recipe that it calls for 6 chicken breast. If you normally eat 6 chicken breast, great, if not, scale it down for 3. As for all recipes, season to taste. I loved it and so did my kids.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2003
Yummmmmmmyyyy! I will never by the refridgrated dough again. This is so easy! There is no way that I would ever go to Cinnabon due the cost of each roll, this way I can get all the rolls I want! I made these for my husbands Sunday School Class, and the kids ate them all. I did change the cooking temp due to the other reviews, worked out great! I didn't add the topping since the rolls were already sweet enough, and the kids don't need all that extra sugar, maybe for the adults! Thanks for the recipe!

Honey Mustard Dressing II

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2003
Very yummy! I'm in germany, and I have a hard time finding honey mustard either in the stores or at resturants. I used this for my salad and for chicken fingers. This is now my choice of honey mustard dressing!

Fruit Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2003
I thought this would be very good, but it wasn't. I might have messed up with the cookie dough though. I think the cookie dough crust made it too sweet, it also ended up very doughy in the middle (could be my oven / pan). The cream cheese was just to much, and I love cheese. I topped it with all kind of fruit, and I would have rather enjoyed the fruit in a bowl. I don't think I will be making this again.

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2003
Hmmmm soooo good! I've been trying to find a rice / bean burito recipe for some time. This is it! I didn't read the recipe right, so I only bought 1 can black beans, 1 can pinto beans. With the other ingredients, it was a perfect balance. Not to many beans. I used about 10 shells, ending up eating the rest out of the bowl. I froze all of mine for my husband to just grab for his lunch. Great taste!

Albondigas Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2003
I've never had this before, it was going to be a new thing for me. WE LOVED IT!!!! I've been trying all types of new soups, and this is a keeper. Meatballs took some time to roll, but well worth it. Added some sour cream and some cheedar cheese, hmmm good! Only changes I made was buying to tomatoes w/ the spices in the can, and didn't have green chili salsa, used pureered green chiles.

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2003
Pretty good. Coconut was very sweet, didn't care for the orange marbleade sauce with it. WAY TO SWEET. Next time I will use the a deep fryer, didn't get crispy enough in the skillet.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2003
HMMMMMM GOOD! I couldn't remember what type of dairy the recipe called for so, i picked up "light cream" and "heavy cream". Boy was it good! I made this for my husband who loves clam chowder (i never had it before this recipe). By the time he got to it, there was only one bowl left. Even my 3 year old liked it. He loves clams, so he said to add more next time. I think i cut up the vegs to big, because he said " I didn't know carrots and celery where in clam chowder" maybe i should have made them really small? What is the recommened size for vegs in this soup?

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2003
There was hardley any flavor to this. I followed the directions, and it was soooo bland. Also, it doesn't really state how long the potatoes should cook. I did mind till they were tender, but i'm not sure if they should have been cooked longer. Not going to make this again.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2002
This is the very best! Like the other reviewers, I added some vanilla. The first time I made these they were "white" not golden. Think because I used baking soda instead of baking powder. Now, I have the perfect color pankcake. When I remember, I get the buttermilk to make these with. I usually double the recipe, and freeze the leftovers. Works out great!!!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2002
Hmmm... nobody ate this, but I think it was because the company was used to eating "boxed" stuffing. It had a dry look to it, I guess I could have added more water. I got the cranberry with cherry flavor, I liked it. My husband requested me to make stuffing for christmas, but he didn't even eat it. Not sure what went wrong. It smells great while cooking!

Blue Ribbon Overnight Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2002
This was my first time making "from scratch" rolls. I really enjoyed them, and so did my guest. Had strong yeast smell, don't know if that is normal. One of the kids said "Mom, what is that smell?" and the mom said "That's the smell of homemade bread". So I guess it is normal. I didn't have wax paper, just used plastic wrap, and it was ok.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2002
Wonderful! I shaved my own chocolate using baking bars instead of the chips. Very yummy! Husband is used to the clove taste with the store bought cookies, so i will probably add some of some next time.

Scallop Scampi

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2002
My husband has bad heartburn when he eats reds sauces. been trying to find other pasta recipes w/o the sauce. This is great!!!! I didn't use the chicken broth, just a chicken cube (no extra water added). One extra garlic. My husband and 3 year old couldn't get enough. didn't have that fishy taste that I was afraid of. Great for those you can't handle the red sacues.

Brownie Biscotti

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2002
It was good, little bitter. Didn't have a cappacinio (spelling?) to dip these in, would have tasted better w/ that.

RamJam Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2002
I made this for a dinner party at my in-laws, it turned out soooooo goooooooood. I liked that the recipe called to cut the chicken into strips, more pieces had flavor instead of a whole breast. It was marinating for 6 hours and it was just perfect. Served it with rice and an oritental version of brocoli slaw.

Margarita Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2002
I couldn't find orange mix anywhere, so I just used the lemon. I've made it three times and has been a hit everytime. Just think it looks a little plain. would like to serve it on a festive plate and like one reviewer said, add gummie worms for decoration.
