Kerri's Holiday Punch

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2005
Good punch recipe. I modified it a bit though...I doubled the juices but didn't double the Southern Comfort. Also, I used only 4 liters of Sprite soda instead of 6 (6 liters would not have fit in the punch bowl. Plus it would have diluted the taste). Instead of red food coloring, I used a little grenadine syrup for color. You couldn't really taste the Southern Comfort too strongly, but it "snuck up" on you. It was well received by the all-female crowd.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2005
I've made this recipe several times...some people are wary to try it at first, but once they do, they love it. It makes a very soft mixture which doesn't hold it's shape very well. So I freeze the mixture and then work quickly to shape it into a ball. Then I keep it in the freezer just until serving since it softens quickly. Next time I make it, I may halve the butter to see if it holds its shape better. Also, use regular bar cream cheese and stick butter - not whipped cream cheese or tub butter/margarine.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2002
This recipe is a winner all around! I've made it several times for different functions and everyone loves it once they realize it's a dessert cheese ball. Be careful when mixing it though - the mixture gets way too soft to handle. I put it in the freezer to firm up. Then I shape it into a ball. Then I freeze it again to firm it up enough to add the pecan coating. I then wrap the cheese ball in foil and keep it frozen until about 30 minutes prior to serving.
