I used Ground Venison I also tripled the gravy so I could leave them in a crockpot. Delicious everyone at the party loved them and couldn't tell I used Venison

Ground Turkey Noodle Bake

Great dish! Kids didn't even know it was Turkey! I used Italian Seasoned Ground Turkey. I also didn't have egg noodles so I used Ziti. I will make this again!

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

My father-in-law had just tried this for the first time at a local Italian Bistro and he said mine tasted even better than that!!! My mom thought it was a bit too "Mushroomy". I am not a fan of Mushrooms but I love Risotto, I loved it but when I re-heated it the next day I thought it didn't taste as good and was "Mushroomy" I weighed my mushrooms on a scale and followed the recipe but the packaging on the mushrooms said it was a pound but looked more than a pound (and it was), so next time I make it I will cut it back to maybe a pound and a quarter of Mushrooms. But if you are a mushroom lover please by all means follow the recipe! I'd also like to add that I used Barefoot Pinot Grigio for my wine. Be sure to have your heat at a Med-High setting to keep everything simmering as you add the broth or else it will take you forever to make this dish. If your new to cooking or bad at multi tasking in the kitchen just warning you that you will need to devote your un-divided attention for the entire process of making this dish so don't be trying to make other things at the same time. You need to focus on the RISOTTO!!!! Enjoy!

Chef John's Perfect Prime Rib

I TOTALLY forgot to set this out to bring it to room temp. in time!!! I had it setting out for only about 2 hours. I had a 8.27 lb roast. I used a rib roast that already had the ribs cut but then tied back on. I really like that it saved time cutting them off later. So back to forgetting to set the roast out. I did my best to bring it up to room temp. by putting it on the radiator. So my roast called for 41 min. I did 45 to make up for the other oops and when there was 20 minutes left of the "resting" time I turned the oven on to 375. My party likes theirs a little less rare so I cooked it for about 25 minutes. It was super juicy and just right with enought pink in the middle for the rare folks.

Beef Au Jus

From the mouth of my 8 yr old, "This gravy is yummy gravy". I thickened it for more of a gravy than Au Jus. I also like using Cornstarch rather than flour.

Spicy Hot Chicken Legs

Well since I live near Buffalo and we're all about the wings. This was ok....not spicy enough for me. Would reccomend baking to get it crispy.

Grilled Chicken and Pasta Salad

It's really up to you how good this dish is. You choose the seasoning and that's where it all starts. I used store brand "A1" sauce and Dom Deluise Steak Seasoning, salt and pepper. I bought pre-cut Romaine to save the time, and put the onions on the side. I used a very tasty Kraft Brand Light Rasberry Vinegarette Salad Dressing. Kids even loved it!
