Oregon Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2014
I followed the recipe exactly except I added 1 tablespoon of Old Bay and my can of salmon had only 1/4 cup liquid. The patties were so loose & wet, I can't imagine adding 3/4 liquid. I chilled mine for about an hour but it didn't really help. After sauteing to a golden brown, the interior remained too mushy. But the flavor was wonderful especially with the Lemon Sauce for Salmon Patties from this site which was recommended by others. Next time, I will not add the liquid.

Grilled Vegetables with Balsamic Vinegar

Reviewed: May 25, 2013
I just used zucchini, red pepper and red onion since I didn't have eggplant & hubby doesn't like it anyway. Well we both loved it and he went back for seconds. Thanks for a simply delicious recipe!

Latin Black Ban soup

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2013
Excellent version of the Black Bean & Salsa Soup recipe! Love the additional flavor brought on by the sauteed onions & garlic, and texture/taste of the corn & 3rd can beans added after blending. I thought 1 tablespoon of cumin might be too much so I added just 1/2 teaspoon, which was just right for me since I used medium hot salsa. Please note: instructions for using the sauteed onions & garlic were left out so I processed them with the rest of the mixture in the blender. Loved the greek yogurt - a great healthy alternative to sour cream!

Breaded Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2012
I've made this half a dozen times so far and my family loves it! I just increased the breading and used olive oil, adding more than the 1 tablespoon. Excellent!

Garlic Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: May 22, 2012
Wonderful combination of flavors! Chicken was very moist, infused with the essence of the garlic, lime, bay leaf and thyme, and then the gravy using these ingredients was to die for! My husband raved about this dish and he does not like roasted chicken. Very easy to make. Only complaint was no mention of what to do with the garlic cloves - discard or mash into gravy? I saved them to use as a spread for garlic bread.

Hawaiian Ham Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
Rave reviews from husband "explosions of flavor" because each ingredient worked! The only adjustment was adding a scant 1/4 tsp. garlic powder and 10 extra minutes of cooking. Next time I will just cut the bell pepper and onion into smaller pieces for easier forkfuls. Loved it!

Gyoza Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2012
A most excellent recipe for gyoza/dumpling dipping sauce! The only change I made was using ground fresh chili paste (since I have a jar and am looking for ways to use it up!) instead of red pepper flakes.
