Rolled Fondant

I followed this recipe exactly and found that more powdered sugar was needed. When I tried rolling it out on the mat it was sticking and so then I sprinkled corn starch on the mat to prevent the sticking - this made the fondant keep cracking while I was rolling and it was really hard to roll and put on top of my cake :) Any suggestions what to do when it sticks to the mat? I suppose corn starch was not the correct idea? Thanks

Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting

This was delicious and very light tasting!! Not too sweet or sour, just a perfect balance. Perfect for cupcake swirls, but has anyone tried piping decorations like roses etc? And would I need to add gelatine or mirangue powder and how much? Thanks Jo-Lynn for an awesome recipe and looking forward to hearing anyone's suggestions on making it more sturdy for piping :)

Butter Tart Squares

These were great and easy to make, HOWEVER I found that adding the vinegar gave it a bitter aftertaste and not as much the buttery aftertaste you want from butter tarts...i have made a recipe before without the vinegar and it turned out fine.........has anyone else experienced this or know why the vinegar is added?

Fabulous Fudge Chocolate Cake

this is one of the best recipes i have tried from scratch because its moist and rich - i added extra chocolate and 1/4 cup sugar to enhance the chocolate flavour so it was not too bitter. Overall very great and almost like a black forest brownie fudgy cake!!

Banana Banana Bread

This recipe was great, but i used baking powder instead of soda and it was light and fluffy. Was this a typo or does baking soda ONLY work for this type of recipe? I was worried that it would turn out really tight and not fluffy so i used the baking powder instead of soda. Any comments?
