Classic Thanksgiving Dressing With Parsley, Sage and Thyme

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
I made this recipe for Thanksgiving without first trying it and my mother-in-law said it as "perfection" and I have to say I agree (I'm usually more of a cornbread dressing kinda girl). It was so delicious I'm making it again tonight to serve with a chicken I'm roasting. When I made this recipe the first time I used fresh herbs and increased to 1 TBL or so, but tonight I'm going to use the dried herbs and I'm sure the results will be just as delicious.

Creamed Spinach

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
Wow! If you want me to describe how this tastes, it's almost like a light Alfredo sauce. I made chicken meatballs, rice and this creamed spinach recipe with fresh spinach. Can't wait to eat, I'm about to set the table but had to say "wow" and "yummy" first.

Beefy Cheesy Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
I call this glorified Hamburger Helper. I make this recipe when I have hamburger and I'm low on time. It has great flavor and you can make it as thin or as thick as you like by changing how much cheese and milk you add to the pasta (I use fine egg noodles).

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
This stew is so delicious (especially served with Quick Yeast Rolls found on Allrecipes)and I often make it. The simple seasonings make it so you can add or delete any ingredients you want to. For instance, I leave out the celery and potatoes and only put in mushrooms and carrots. I also cut my meat into tiny pieces and it is melt in your mouth delicious!

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
Wonderful! I used 2 ready-made crusts (hard to make the lattice top, but worked well enough) 6 honey crisp apples and 6 Tablespoons of flour because my butter and 3 TBL of flour weren't making a sticky paste. This recipe made the most wonderful tasting crust and perfectly textured, non-runny apple pie. I'm not much of an apple pie fan but my boys wanted to make apple pie. Now I want to eat the whole pie up!! It's even better on day 2!

Easy Never Forgotten Guacamole

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2005
I used some of Sara from Iowa's changes like minced garlic, onion and lime juice. I even forgot the salsa and it still tastes great after I added enough salt to taste. It's better than the so-called "gourmet" stuff at the grocery store.

Greek Style Garlic Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2004
I used the changes another person suggested with 3 times the garlic and lemon and 1/2 of the oil. I only marinated for 45 minutes and basted the chicken and some yellow squash with the marinade . Wonderful! My 3-year-old son is extremely picky and he was shoving this chicken into his mouth. This is a boy who will only eat a few bites at the most and he ate more than half a piece of chicken. Thank you for a great new recipe!!

American-Italian Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2003
Thanks, Carol, for a great recipe! Everybody I've served this dish to loves it! You can't go wrong because you can take out or put in whatever ingredients you want. I add herb-garlic feta cheese and/or mozzarella cheese. I also use ranch from the bottle instead of salad dressing mix, milk & mayo like someone else suggested. Use rainbow pasta for great presentation. Keep extra ranch handy because the pasta soaks up the moisture.

Mulberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2003
My picky husband even liked these muffins. I gave this recipe four stars because it wasn't sweet enough for me, but I LOVE how the muffins didn't get dry at all, just nice and moist. They were even better the next day warmed up and topped with butter!
