We love seafood...and shrimp in particular.  But I have always been intimidated to try my hand at cooking it at home.  I have made a couple of stabs over the years...grilled shrimp (came out too salty), baked tilapia (came out too mushy), etc....but had never had enough success to really be… MORE

Mock Peanut Brittle
Not bad, but I probably won't make this again. I'm not sure where this title came from, but this is nothing like peanut brittle.

Chocolate and Almond Biscotti
There were way too many almonds and chocolate chips, and not nearly enough "binder" to hold it together. It was impossible to slice without crumbling, was VERY dry and almost impossible to shape into a loaf...we had to add quite a bit more moisture. / We used Splenda in place of sugar. Perhaps that affected the texture? Not sure...but I can't imagine anyone rating this more than 2 stars!

Dad's Hamburger Gravy
This wasn't bad. I added some fresh mushrooms, which made it better. My husband said I was teasing him....why didn't I just make the "real thing" and make sausage gravy? I probably won't make again...I'll just make sausage gravy next time. But this isn't bad...just not as good as sausage gravy and just as much work.
