Amish White Bread

This is a great recipe. It is very easy and delicious. I am a novice bread maker and it worked out very well. I did cut the sugar in half. I have made it 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I have also used 4 cups of bread flour and 2 cups of all purpose whole wheat flour and it worked out fine. Using 6 cups of bread flour the loaves have a lot of loft and raise really quite high. When you use part whole wheat flour they don't raise quite as high, which I thought was a bit better. I find that the recipe quantity is also good for making one loaf and one pan of cinnamon buns. My husband loved this bread and so did my kids. From now on I will try to bake bread instead of buying store-bought. Thanks so much for this recipe.
