These bars are so easy and delicious. I have made them twice, once with a butter cake mix and once with yellow, the butter turned out much better, I also, like some other reviewers, added a bit of milk to the mix after separating it into the bottom part and the top part. I didn't find it too sweet, perhaps this is because I used a reduced sugar raspberry jam from Trader Joe's and then sprinkled a few chocolate chips on top of the jam. I made it in a tart pan the first time and liked the result better than the suggested square pan. Cut into wedges and it is actually pretty elegant looking and certainly tastes homemade.
