Apple Crisp II

I made this recipe and it was fantasic. I used a different topping mix from another recipe and used the whole amount of water and doubled the cinnamon and flour, it was still had a little to much juice so I think I will reduce the water by 1/2 next time. The topping I always double. I used Johnatan Apples and the same amount of sugar. I didn't think it was too sweet. I have always loved apple crisp but the recipe I had always used was lacking something and thought the apples needed more flavor which this recipe definately does that. I will make this recipe from now on.

Yeast Doughnuts

This is my favorite recipe so far and I have gotten a lot of compliments on this recipe and everyone has asked me for it that has tasted the doughnuts. I did dissolve the yeast in 1/4 cup of lukewarm water instead of using a mixer, you may have to increase the flour if you use this method, and let rise till double, then shape or cut, then let rise again. I also used a glaze of 3 cups powdered sugar, and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla, and 3-4 tablespoons milk.

Crispy and Creamy Doughnuts

I thought the dough needed to be sweeter so I increased the sugar to 1 1/2 cups and used a glaze of 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 2 tablespoons milk. The 5 tablespoons hot water was just too much and made the glaze too thin.

Ham and Beans

I found this recipe to be very good, I have been looking for ideas on how to improve plain ham and beans and came across this recipe and tried it and loved it, I will continue to make it this way from now on. I did substitue a 40 ounce jar of northern beans for the pound of dry beans, and next time I make it I might reduce the amount of brown sugar just slightly.

Cake Doughnuts

I reduced the amount of baking powder to 1 teaspoon and reduced the amount of milk to 3/4 cup and added more cinnamon, 1 1/2 teaspoons to coat.
