Penne Pasta with Spinach and Bacon

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
This was a FAST, EASY recipe, and it tasted terrific. I dont usually change things on a recipe but I will admit, I doubled the tomatoes and bacon. I couldnt get over how well the flavors blended. I will be making this one again. Toss a salad, grab some bread, and theres dinner! It was like I was a gourmet chef!

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
I had never heard of a wet Burrito before. But the picture looked so yummy. I decided "what the heck" I will give it a try. I followed the recipe to a tee, except for the tomato soup. I forgot to get some, but my chili and sauce looked really sloppy allready. It turned out to be excellent. I had people over and they couldnt believe how yummy it was. Very filling! I piled everything in a 9x13 pan and through it in the oven for a minute or at least till the cheese was melted. I topped with the leftover lettuce, tomatoes, onions. Dolliped sour cream and salsa. Great recipe. YUMMY.

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2010
This was a great salad...Different from the norm. I loved the bacon and red potatoes.. I used green onions in this and the flavor was terrrific. I always go half and half on mayo and salad dressing. I think mayo makes it too bland. Mixing in the salad dressing (mircle whip) makes it a little more zippy and flavorful.. Great recipe and will make this again. Im sure I will have too by the way the husband ate it up!

Blueberry Dump Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
this is really a nice and very simple dessert.. You can not go wrong especially if you eat it nice and warm with ice cream. i make dump cakes alot and have tried lots of fruits. i do however like to put chopped pecans or almond slivers on top. i do however like to drizzle melted butter over the top, especially if you put nuts on top.. it will toast them very nicely... Go ahead make this dessert..

I have also been requested that this is our christmas dinner as well...After making this for a long while now........i find it easier to make sauce in crockpot and let sit for hours... on low..

Fry Bread Tacos II

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
These fry breads were terrific, the only reason why it got four stars, is I found i needed alot my flour. It was very sticky at first, but once i got it, they turned out terrific. I didnt try the powdered sugar on the leftovers, but I will the next time. a very nice change of pace to the ordinary taco... Very good and very easy!

Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2004
This was easy! I will say that. My faimly like it, but it just tasted like store bought can cressent rolls. I guess maybe i should find a better brand. I would also cut down on the cream cheese mixture. It did seem like way too much and maybe add a little fruit spread or something. I will make it again, trying new ways cause like i said my faimly did enjoy it.

Meatloaf Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2004
I love meatloaf and infact i would eat it more, but my husband doesnt care for it. Well when i saw cheese in this recipe, i figured hey thats what he likes! Put cheese in anything and he will eat it... He did. Now seriously, i personally thought this was a great recipe. Was not hard at all to make. The taste was excellent. Very differnt and very satisfing. What I might do next time is change the way it is cooked. I did cook it for 2 hours and my center was still way to pink. Maybe if you layer it in a square 9x9 or 8x8. I am not sure, but there has to be a better way. 2 hours is way too much. I really enjoyed eating it though. The next night I heated it up and made sandwiches. We put pickles and mayo on whole wheat bread and it was almost like a burger! This is a keeper, except for the way it is cook, i will come up with a plan for next time..

Upside Down Ham Loaf

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2004
I was just checking out something for dinner, I ran across this one for the recipes of the day. I asked my husband of 12 years have you ever had ham loaf. He is not a meatloaf lover, so why not ham instead. I was a little leary at first, but let me tell you this is great. Nice flavor and texture. Easy to prepare and the whole faimly liked it. Something different I added was the cheese, i didnt have swiss, i had horseradis montery. It was a terrific punch to it. I will make this again, and cant wait to tell others about it. I am sure they will put there noses up at it, but when they taste it! Great way to use up your extra ham! Thanks!
