Whiskey Chicken

I'm sorry, but I truly did not like this dish. I would suggest that if you are not a fan of bourbon, you stay away. I am so-so about bourbon, but cooking it really brings out the pungent smell, which I couldn't handle. Other than that, I liked it, but the bourbon was so overpowering....

Double Tomato Bruschetta

This stuff is outstanding! I used it for an hors d'oeurves party at our apartment complex and couldn't keep the platter full! For anyone from the Omaha area, this recips tastes very similar to the tomato/basil condiment served at Lo Sole Mio. This recipe does make a lot, so be sure to have several baguettes on hand--three wasn't enough for us. I used the leftover tomato mix in a pasta dish. I'm considering keeping this mixture on hand at all times as a great addition to pastas and salads. Even my friends who don't like tomatoes loved this recipe.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Everyone truly does love these cookies. We've all agreed, it must be the vanilla pudding; can't figure out what else could add that excellent taste. My only complaint is that this is a pretty cakey cookie--a little to thick for me.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

This chili is outstanding. My husband isn't a big fan of chili, so I thought maybe a white chicken chili would interest him instead. Ten bowls later, I can assure you he (and everyone else) loves it! Serve with a dollop of sour cream and a scoop of salsa on top...it tastes great once it's stirred in. But be careful if you don't like hot foods, or are serving to people who don't. It is considerably hot (and this is coming from someone who eats jalapenos out of the jar, wasabi with a spoon, and puts cayenne pepper in her green bean casserole). Cool it off with less jalapenos (replace with mild green chiles) if you need to. I also like to serve this chili over a serving of rice (sounds strange, but it's really really good!).
