This was a really good apple pie...LOOKS AMAZING!! But, not as good as my Grandma's Apple pie. It may have been the apples I used,(they were from a local orchard in Idaho), and were starting to get soft so I needed to use them. I also think the recipes needs a little more flour to thicken the juices up. I followed the recipe to a T (with MY Grandma by my side)and it was a little runny. I will say that I made this in the afternoon and it was gone by that night I believe. I think with some more flour and reduce the sugar a little bit (unless using granny smith's as the recipe calls for) this could be a ***** pie. I will be making this again as it was so so beautiful and pretty tasty too.
