Slumbering Slumber Party

My daughter just turned 7. Every birthday is a BIG deal, so of course we invited her best friend over. "Duh!" Food is always on the mind when having someone over. If I haven't mentioned, which I haven't because this is my first post, I have four
children. The 7 yo is my oldest. Being a mom isn't always so easy. I'm a SAHM who's just trying to find way to save a buck or two. The goal is always more. I feel like I should since I have the opportunity to stay home with the kids. I am forever grateful
to God and my hard-working man. Must. Budget.
Sometimes preparing food isn't the easiest task. Not when there are eight tiny hands making big messes :). So I made my kids +1 a super easy casserole. Spaghetti (wheat), pasta sauce, pepperoni I and cheese. They ate it up. Why is it that when dinner
takes hours of preparation they decide not to eat it all? The irony!
Then on for dessert. It's Friday! Hello! Dessert is a must. I didn't want to drive to the store and I only had some crescent rolls. Lo and behold, a knock at the door. Saweet! Three little girls selling chocolates (with caramel inside). I'm a Pinterester.
If you know Pinterest, you know what this means. I rolled up the chocolate pieces into crescent rolls and baked for 12 minutes at 350*. Heaven!!!! I really believe God sent those girls to me so I could buy chocolate. Thank you, God! So caring!
Now I'm just wanting to sleep. I will be dreaming about eating more of those yummy candied crescents. I'm kind of on a "lifestyle change". You know, a diet. I'm a bit of a gym rat, so chocolate makes me very happy when I do get it. Or maybe it will
come to me. Until we meet again!
