Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
I've made this recipe several times and absolutely love it. The only thing I do is add some hot sauce and a little worcestershire sometimes. I make a mean cornbread and serve it with it. This time I'm simmering it in the slow cooker (let's see how it turns out). Of course I browned the meat and all first just want to see if slow cooking increases the flavor more :). Thanks Deb.

New Wife Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
my first time making tuna salad and I thought it came out really well. I didn't change the recipe (aside from using regular mustard and no celery since I didn't have celery). Quick, easy and a keeper

Strawberry Romaine Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
I thought this was delicious. I didn't have poppy seeds so I omitted them and used a spring salad blend with romaine lettuce, spinach. Dressing a little sweet so you can back off on the sugar a bit but overall it was very delicious and refreshing and the strawberries gave it a wonderful refreshing blend of tang and sweet. Delicious!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
The best I've had and everyone loves it. However I always use banana cream pudding and didn't realize that recipe even called for vanilla until now. Maybe I'll try with vanilla one day but for potlucks and whenever I make it - there are never any leftovers. YUM.

Halibut with Rice Wine

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
EXCELLENT!! I made this last night and hubby and I loved it. I don't use alcohol so I substituted with grape juice with a little lemon juice. Wonderful, definitely a keeper. I'm looking for great fish recipes. Thanks

Do I really need to even rate this recipe. By the reaction of my guests its a solid 10 but 5 is all I can do. Seriously I'm tired of making it but everyone requests it so much.

Deep South Fried Chicken

I could never get it right before and this is right on the money. I seasoned it a little differently but my main concerned was how to get it crispy and and flavorful. Now I know the secret. Thanks!

Jambalaya II

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2006
I make this often but I make it in half the time by using a rotisserie chicken, chicken broth and cooked rice. Not only does it take the cooking time down but it also makes certain that all the rice grains are fully cooked. The problem with using uncooked rice is that some of the grains of rice were raw when done. OH and you need to add salt and pepper to taste.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2003
I've made this several times and its a winner every time. I use boneless skinless chicken breast and cut them into bite-sized pieces and bake until carmelized, always has a nice gravy. Recently took it for a work potluck. No leftovers and one coworker went for thirds.
