Breakfast Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2014
I didn't make it upside down (seemed silly), but I did use all the ingredients, maybe not in the recommended quantities, but overall it was extremely tasty. I added an extra egg, the potatoes I used just barely covered the bottom of the 8x8 pan (which was plenty) and I used 8 strips of thick cut bacon. It was a lot of work and prep, but delicious and a great way to start the day in a nice neat casserole.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
Awesome pumpkin bread! Exactly the taste I was looking for. I've been making this recipe as muffins (30 min) and mini muffins (15 minutes) and everyone begs me for more! Can't wait to bring a loaf to Thanksgiving dinner.

Loosemeat Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2008
I didn't care for this at all. It's extraordinarily messy and tastes pretty much like crumbled hamburger, which is essentially all it is. Even my boyfriend, who eats anything and everything, ended up dumping the meat into a pot of spaghetti sauce instead of eating it as is. We'll stick to hamburger patties.

Momma's Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
Great recipe as is. Definitely simmer on low for the 30 minutes, comes out sweet and tangy! I don't ordinarily like sloppy joes but I'm keeping this one since my boyfriend does. He had FOUR of these tonight!

Easy Cheap and Yummy Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2005
batter was raw in the middle but crunchy on the ends, you'd have to cover it at least to make it edible.. the parts that were cooked just didn't taste very good.

Hot Dog a la Potato

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2005
It was a pretty good recipe, and I do not ordinarily like hot dogs. The roommate, loved it! And my sheepdog wanted his own little sheepie too, but we humans ate them all. I used shredded cheddar on top and before I put them into the oven, came out bubbly and good. I might try a little garlic in my instant potatoes next time too.

Savory Crescent Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2002
This was a good recipe, although I too changed some things, after reading other reviews. I made it very similar to chicken salad, except I used thanksgiving turkey leftovers, 4oz cream cheese instead of mayo, and I omitted all other spices except for 1 tsp celery salt. I also diced up a couple mushrooms and through those in. It was very delicious as I prepared it, and I omitted the croutons and cooked for 22 minutes.

White Chili I

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2002
Delicious! It only fed 2 people though, so I would add in another can of beans and broth. I did have to add a little more water, because there just wasn't enough, and then a little cornstarch to thicken. A great recipe, especially on cold nights, I will be making this regularly!

Irish Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2002
My entire family found this recipe to be, frankly, disgusting. It tasted like old, soggy potatoes, and its appearance was very uninviting. We'll pass on this one.

Chicken Continental

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2002
This was terrific! I changed it slightly by adding about a cup of sour cream to the soup, and a dash of garlic powder. I had no problems with not having enough water. It was delicious and will definitely become a regular in my recipe box!

Chicken Spaghetti Casserole I

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2002
I made this for my guy friend for his birthday, and he LOVED it! Begged me to make it again. I changed it a bit, instead of wine I used whiskey (we're not big wine drinkers), I added some fresh sliced mushrooms, omitted the onion and pepper and used onion powder instead, and added a teaspoon of garlic powder.

Nana's Apple Crisp

Quick and tasty! I was making it for a date, so I just cut the recipe in half (but with an extra apple). I was surprised it worked out so well!
