Basil Tomato Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2003
Very good! A must try! We served this with rice and corn and loved it! My husband actually went back for seconds. He said if he hadn't had to get ready for work, he would have had more. Needless to say, he took some with him to work. : )

Easy Never Forgotten Guacamole

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2003
This was a very good guacamole! My husband was craving guacamole with the Lime Chicken Soft Tacos that I was making for dinner, so I started looking. I picked this one based on the good reviews, and I was not disappointed. My only complaint is that I am stuck in the middle of Kansas and good avacados are hard to come by. They were not quite ripe and I had a heck of a time getting them smooth enough. But other than that, a very good recipe! Thanks Juli!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2003
Thank you Colleen! This is an excellent recipe! My husband and I absolutely loved it. I made two changes to the recipe as I made it...I used low-fat sour cream instead of regular and I sauted one and a half teaspoons of garlic in with the hamburger. Gave it a very good flavor. I would recommend this one to anybody who wants something quick and easy to whip up. Thanks again!!

The Soup with the Little Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2003
Pretty good! I used ground turkey instead of beef (as the last time I had this, my friend made it with beef and it was VERY greasy!!), and it was so good. I think I should have used another can of broth, as there was absolutely no liquid to the soup what-so-ever. My husband thought there were too many meatballs, so next time we are only going to use one and a half pounds of meat instead of the called for two pounds. All in all, very good! Thanks Kelly!

Slow Cooker Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2003
Kim, this was great!! We had it put together and cooking in the crockpot when a good friend of ours called and invited us out to dinner. We hadn't seen her in almost 5 years, so we took her up on her offer. We put the crockpot in the fridge and out the door we went. The next day when dinner time rolled around, we cut out what we wanted, heated it up and boy oh boy was it delicious!!! A definate keeper!! My husband was concerned it would not be good if we didn't eat it right away, but I have a feeling it was probably better for setting up over night. Go ahead and give this one a try...I think you will really enjoy it!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2003
YUMMY!!! Thanks Kathi!! My husband and I loved this. We were out running errands kinda late tonight, so this was a real easy one to throw together. We didn't see why it was called "hot" in the description though. It is perfect the way it is, but next time we are going to use more spices and hotter sauce...only because we both like spicy foods. Everyone should try this at least one time.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2003
Yummy!! I had planned on making these on Thursday night, but we got a last minute invitation to go out to dinner with some friends of ours. I had the chicken cut up and marinating in the lime and vinegar mixture (along with the other seasonings), so I left them in the refridgerator all night and made them today (Friday). Talk about flavorful!! My husband absolutely loved them. A good friend of mine got me started on these, and she made them according to the instructions - so my hubby has had them per instuctions and my marinating them and he said that they were great both ways, but letting it marinate and then cooking for 15-18 minutes was delicious!! Thanks Marissa for such a wonderful and easy recipe! : )

Cream of Asparagus Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2003
Very good and relatively easy to make. I cut the salty products that were in this receipe (due to what I read in other reviews)and my husband thinks it needs more salt. I only used 2 cubes of chicken boullion, so maybe it could use 3 or the called for, 4. I served this with a loaf of Roasted Garlic French Bread. We will definately make this one again. Thanks William!!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2003
Wow! That was really good! Very easy to make as well! My husband said he thought their was too much chicken, and I only used 3 chicken breasts. I thought it was just fine. We decided the next time we make it, we will add mushrooms and peas or broccoli. I also used the 98% fat free soups and reduced fat sour cream. I can only imagine how rich it must be if regular ingredients are used. Worth giving it a try! Thanks Dawne! : )

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2003
So easy and simple! Tastes GREAT!! Very easy to put together and bake. I made some spanish rice to go with it and my husband and I loved it! I had this at a friends house (see next review) and knew I had to make this for my husband. I think my husband tends to doubt my cooking capabilities at times, but he said he really loved this. Definate keeper! Thanks Jeri!!!

Golden Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2002
This was really good! I have never made any kind of potato soup, and this was really easy. I think I might have messed up as I had a hard time getting the soup to thicken. It wasn't watery but it wasn't thick either. It is still good. I will definately make this one again! Thanks Marge!
