Stacey's Hamburger Seasoning

Stacey, Stacey! How did you come up with this seasoning? it was delicious to me and my family. I Googled burger seasoning and your recipe stood out first. It was because All Recipes is my go to site, but I never thought someone would actually have a seasoning recipe here. I was anxious to try it due to great reviews. Let me tell everyone that reads my review it was very good! If you are the type of person that loves strong taste and salty food, this isn't the recipe for you. It is a subtle flavor and the brown sugar sneaks up on you just as you are about to swallow…Yummy! I must say I didn't have any onion powder on hand and I didn't want to use the salt. I left the salt out, because my family and I are health conscience. Surprisingly my family and I did not miss the salt at all. It was great the way it was. I used this recipe for seasoning on ground turkey. If you eat ground turkey, you'll know it can have a tendency to taste bland. This seasoning will be used all of the time. Before I found this recipe I used Lipton onion soup mix, which is too salty. Stacey, thank you for sharing this recipe.

Glazed Carrots

I liked them but they weren't anything for me to rave about. I'm not sure if they needed more of something in order to avoid them drying out. the glaze is ok, but if they are sitting in a dish for some time they seem to dry out. They taste fine.. like carrots. I will make them again, because I love carrots.

Great Northern Bean Soup

I ran out of olive oil. Therefore, I used vegan butter. I didn't have any bay leaves on hand either. I used everything else the recipe called for and I didn't miss the bay leaves at all. It cooked for 45 minutes as suggested. The seasonings came together so well. I can't until it set overnight. This is perfect for the health conscious, as well as anyone whom love northern beans.

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing

This was the best dressing I've ever made! The only small thing I did differently is add more broth to keep it moist. I hate dry stiff dressing. The celery gave it that nice crunch, the onions added the perfect flavor.It was wonderful with cranberry sauce, especially, the sauce with the whole berries in it. My family didn't leave any in the dish. I will make this dish for Christmas as well. I can't wait!!

Quick and Easy Sauteed Spinach

Since spinach has a natural tangy taste, I made sure not to over do it with spices. I used minced garlic, 1 table spoon of olive oil, and garlic powder because I didn't have garlic salt. I watch my salt intake, therefore, I used only a pinch of salt. It was very good. I used a 10oz. bag of fresh spinach, which doesn't amount to very much once it is sautéed. You may need two bags if you are cooking for around 4 people. I cooked this for my husband and I and we ate all of it at once, because when it's sautéed it withers. This dish is good and I will make it again and again.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

This was really just ok. The meat was very juicy. Therefore, I gave it a three stars for not being dry without covering it will foil. The flavor was very subtle which didn't make it any better than plain baked chicken. I don't think this is a recipe I'd make again.

Quinoa and Black Beans

It was made exactly as the recipe called. I made it for the only vegan in my family. He enjoyed it and I had a little taste. I thought it made a great one dish meal or as a side. Would eat with a salad. I don't have a picture, but I think the best picture is the one chosen as the main image or avatar. It gives a realistic approach to how it looks in the pan. I will make this recipe again.

Oven-Grilled Chicken and Vegetables

Most people didn't seem to like this that much, but I thought it was great! I read a few reviews before I broiled it and figured I should take heed to what was mentioned most. Most reviewers stated the chicken needed more seasoning. I lightly used creole seasoning on both sides of my boneless chicken. I followed the ingredients as it was called, but I poured more balsamic vinegar on the chicken and the veggies. This dish was all about flavor considering it is a broiled dish. I noticed my chicken was cooking too fast. Therefore, I broiled it on Low. The high setting was burning the outside and the inside was pink. My chicken was frozen. Once it thawed in the oven I applied the creole seasoning to ensure it wouldn't be bland. I think it cooked broiled for 20 minutes. Guys my husband thought it was good! It's a winner in my house. I don't think I would change anything I did.

Juicy Thanksgiving Turkey

I was reluctant because there were so many things this recipe called for, but I usually follow the recipe the first time. It was juicy as I expected, but it wasn't bone dry either. I placed it in a cooking bag and added all of the ingredients. There is really a need for someone to give me a really good recipe for a moist turkey. I'll make sandwiches this week and turkey salad until it's gone. I'm not sure if I will try this again or not. Next year I may go back to cornish hens. I'm tired of dry turkeys.

Southern-Style Buttermilk Fried Chicken

The chicken didn't have a flavor at all. I used everything from the recipe. The coating was very flaky and it was a beautiful golden brown. I will not make this again unless there is something I could add to bring in more flavor. I'm not sure why it received 5 stars, because it is bland like chicken from a hospital cafeteria.

Hawaiian Pineapple Chicken

It was only ok, but I think it has potential. It will not brown in the oven with all of the sauce in the pan. I started to pour some of it off, but I try to cook it as the recipe is called first. Next time i'm going to cook on top of stove to brown the chicken. The chicken needed flavor it was really bland and slightly tough. It wasn't getting done at all with my oven set at 325 degrees. I turned it up to 400 degrees. The sauce is good! I didn't make this dish with rice, but I can see it working well with the sauce. I made it with mixed veggies-broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Will try with sauce with rice next time. I didn't have any cornstarch on hand. I used baking powder. I'll give this recipe one more try before I thought it out!

Spaghetti Squash I

It was surprisingly good. The only thing I had to change is, I place 1/3 cup of non dairy mozzarella cheese, because I'm lactose intolerant. Added mushrooms, but followed the rest of recipe as it is called. I will make a larger portion next time. I tried to submit my picture but It wasn't accepted. I adjusted the size and was still unable to upload . Thats ok! I wanted everyone to know it was good. The spaghetti squash was the perfect tenderness. I added water in the bottom of the pan to help with tenderness as someone here suggested. I will make it over and over!

Black-Eyed Pea Gumbo

I actually made this today! I was in the grocery store ( Publix) and wanted something easy, healthy and good to eat. The dish was so good to me. I'm a fan of black eyed peas. Therefore I felt I couldn't go wrong. I made it exactly as recipe called for. It wasn't spicy,but my family don't really eat salty or spicy food. This was great for us. The flavors of the onion and the celery came together nicely. Since I have a vegan in the family I didn't add meat to the pan, but as a single dish for one other family member. I added italian turkey sausage to a single dish and it was superb! I will make this dish again. I tried to add my photo but maybe it was too large.
