Seven Minute Frosting I

Reviewed: May 28, 2003
I love this kind of frosting! Not all grocery stores carry the fluffy white frosting mix in a box anymore. Now I can make it from scratch. It's fun to tint the frosting pink or light blue for birthday cakes. Makes a very pretty cake.

Yum!! This was tasty and easy. Cooking it in foil and maranating in the ziploc bag made cleanup easy. Try it!

Spiced Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2002
I like this one a lot, much easier than the traditional whole baked apples with red hots in the middle. This one is microwave easy and just uses slices of apples! 15 minutes, baby! I used Rome apples and a little brown sugar in place of granulated white. We served it over Vanilla bean ice cream with a shot of cinnnamon schnapps and whipped cream on top.Yum!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2002
I moved recently and wanted to have a nice dinner to thank my friends who helped me pack and move. It had to be easy, because my kitchen boxes were not unpacked yet!!! This was SUPER easy and almost everyone asked for the recipe! I mixed a couple of tablespoons of cornstarch with a little water and stirred that in towards the end to thicken the gravy. I had 10 guests and we still had lots of gravy left over! I just baked some potatos, heated up some rolls and a side vegie and we had a a very nice meal. Serve this when company's comin'!!! Might be fun to throw a few fresh mushrooms in and use red wine for the liquid. This is a recipe that you can customize to your taste. I used boneless chuck arm roast. My tip is to FREEZE YOUR ROAST FIRST and put it in the crockpot frozen. Makes the meat come out even more tender!
