I am married with 6 children.I spend oh,so much time in the kitchen, so luckily I adore cooking! I have a garden that my husband and I grow tomatoes, herbs peppers and eggplants from seeds. We can the tomato sauce I cook up after we begin harvesting in late summer. Lots of different recipes to try from my garden!

Steamed Mussels with Fennel, Tomatoes, Ouzo, and Cream
Made this last night, as I had the fennel in my fridge, and needed to build a meal around it! Crazy, huh? Well, I am sooo happy I tried this recipe, instead of my regular way of making mussels. The only thing I did different, was to use Sambuca instead of Ouzo, as that was what I had on hand. Every one loved this! My hubby was very skeptical, but wound up going back 3 times! :D I can't wait to make this for guests! Thank you so much for sharing what will be a huge fave in my home!

Colcannon
My hubby loved the cabbage/bacon mixture so much, he was disappointed I added it to the potatoes! I had to put the pan in the oven to stop him from eating the mix before I could get the stuff to the table! Seeing the beautiful Irish butter melting in the middle made me forget my diet completely!

Tomatillo Salsa Verde
I could just eat it with a spoon! While I did cook the tomatillos in the said amount of water, I drained a little off before I used my immersion blender to mix it. I did add some vinegar, about 2 TBS, and I added jc of 1 lime at the end, because I love that acidity. Man, with some warmed-up tortilla chips, just stay away from me and my bowl! Thank you for sharing!
