Great recipe. Everyone loved it. It's a nice change from the typical Green Bean Casserole recipe.

Joe's Favorite Hamburgers

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2005
This is an excellent recipe. HOWEVER, I can see why people have commented on it the way they have. When you blend up all the ingredients,it is a lot of liquid to add to just 2 pounds of ground beef. I was having a large party and I added it to 7 POUNDS of ground beef. I let it sit longer in the fridge too. It didn't dilute the flavor and the meat was formed into patties that stuck together just fine. I really didn't even need the bread cumbs, but I added them just as a precaution. Everyone LOVED them. They were juicy and very flavorful. Thanks a lot!!!!!

Strawberry Torte

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2003
Great Desert. Good for any occasion. I had a hard time getting the Lady finger cookies to stand up though. So what I ended up doing first was laying down the lady fingers on the bottom on the pan and pouring 1/2 of the cream cheese/whipping cream mixture on top of those. Then I insert the lady fingers around the edge of the pan. It helped them stand up straight and hold them in place. Once I had inserted all the cookies around the edge I poured the rest of the mixture on top and added the strawberry topping. The strawberry topping was a little bitter, so I would suggest sifting a little powdered sugar on top of that. Tasted wonderful. Very simple recipe - Will definitely make it again!!!!

Seared Scallops with Spicy Papaya Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2003
Loved this recipe!! The mixture of flavors was truly outstanding. Reminds me of a dish one would eat on vacation in Cancun. The only thing I would change is I wouldn't put as much onion in it as the recipe called for.

Goldy's Special Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2003
This salad will definitely make you ooohh and ahhh. It makes your taste buds dance and wish you were on a tropical island enjoying the sun. My husband and I went to Cancun for our honeymoon. I wanted to bring back memories of that time for a Valentine dinner. It certainly did the job. Absolutely wonderful salad! The only thing I would change is to lower the amount of onion.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2002
It tastes great. However, I think that the directions need to be altered. After letting the mixture sit in the fridge for over 3 hours it was still not hard enough to be able to form into a ball. So I just put it in a bowl without the pecans in order to serve it as a dip instead of a ball. Tasted great though!!!
