Blue Cheese and Pear Tartlets

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
Everyone enjoyed these when I made them as an hors d'oevre for the neighborhood barbecue. They're better for fall/winter but I wanted to make them in the summer, and they were excellent.

Angel Pillows

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2008
This, I found as well, has the texture of a biscuit but is still rather moist inside. I don't know how it would taste without the frosting, but I doubt most would care for it if one was looking for something in the cookie line. Two children in my family wouldn't eat them, but the adults loved them. I used pineapple/apricot preserves and that worked fine, but I will double the amount next time. This recipe is also great because there are no eggs and not a lot of sugar, and I used low-fat cream cheese so it would be a little more healthy.

Busy Night Turkey Taco Soup with Avocado Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
AWESOME and EASY...I used a pound of ground turkey breast and sauteed it with olive oil then added the ingredients to it and voila...Tastes better with some grated cheddar cheese and sour cream. I didn't have avocado anything so it was perfect with the sour cream and cheese.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
This was so moist and had a wonderful flavor. I added 2 cups of wine and then one can of chicken broth and it was to die for! And I don't even like meat...

White Texas Sheet Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2007
This didn't turn out well for me at all. I don't know what the problem was, but there are simpler recipes for easy white cakes!

Pancakes on the Go

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
These weren't the fluffy, light pancakes that I prefer; I probably won't make these again just because they weren't to my preference.

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2007
I was skeptical of a strawberry pie, but it was great! Used a graham cracker ready made crust which added to the sweetness.

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw II

This recipe is rather sweet; just the way we like it! I bought the ready made coleslaw in a bag and added the wet ingredients. Perfect!

Oaxacan Tacos

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
Very similar to the tacos we had in Cabo, right off the street vendors. Didn't use the jalapenos, but they were still very authentic.

Best Brownies

Nothing too great- they weren't as chewy as I like. I did like the icing, however.

Easy Eggless Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2006
This is very moist and is especially appealing because there are no eggs! Using whole wheat flour worked wonderfully, and made it even healthier. This cake is perfect with just powdered sugar on top.

Red Velvet Cake I

This recipe was average. My cake didn't raise properly, so it may have been something I forgot.

Creamy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
This recipe is very good. The texture is very creamy and moist, and it all of my coworkers raved about it. However, I agree with other reviewers that it tastes too much like coffee cake and needs more sugar. Next time I will add more and see how it tastes.

Original Chex® Party Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2005
This is a great recipe. Easy and not too fattening. I, too, couldn't find Wheat Chex, so I just added more of the Corn and Rice (they taste better anyway).

What a great and relatively simple recipe. This was my first attempt at a homemade pie, and it was better than expected! Adding some spices like cinnamon and nutmeg made it a little more flavorful!

This got rave reviews from the staff at my daughter's school. It's delicious. I did have problems with the icing sticking to the sides. It tastes wonderful and looks almost too good to eat!
