About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are casseroles because they are quick, easy, and usually comfort food. I make them as healthy as I can though. I like to make a few in advance and freeze them for quick meals after work.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking tradition is to make what we call "Sunday Brunch Casserole" for Christmas morning. My grandmother made it, my mother made it, and now I make it even if it's just my husband and I at home on Christmas day.
My cooking triumphs
I would have to say that my cooking triumphs are being able to cook a full meal and not feel overly frazzled like I did when I first got married. I'm a good judge of time and it seems to come easily to me.
My cooking tragedies
I'm not the best baker. It seems that whatever I bake is either over baked or under baked. I have managed to master cookies for the most part, but cakes are still not my strong point!

Pumpkin Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
I'd give it a 4.5. My boys love them. They are a little too cakey for me. I like a chewy cookie. Pretty good though.

Easy Homestyle Green Beans
When I made these, it was the only time EVER that the veggies got eaten as leftovers along with all the other stuff the day after Thanksgiving. Making them again today for Christmas.
