Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2012
One of my favorites! I added a packet of ranch dressing mix, and we always just use whatever beans are on hand- we didn't have chili beans, so we used extra kidney beans.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2012
Delicious! We just made these- they did stick a bit to the wrappers, but we didn't really let them cool. We used mini chocolate chips, and I didn't measure the pumpkin well, so it might have been more than 3/4 cup. We also were out of nutmeg, but I added more cinnamon.

Great! I didn't have enough salmon, so I threw it on cod too. It worked fine.

Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2012
I know I used more broccoli and cauliflower than the recipe called for, but it was definitely delicious. Edited to add: I didn't have any bacon tonight, but it was still pretty good.

Tomato Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2012
This was super delicious and refreshing. I did the recipe almost exactly, except for I only did a quarter of an onion, and I didn't measure how much lemon juice I was squeezing. The onion is a matter of personal preference, I think.

American-Italian Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2012
I loved this! I used slightly less pasta because I read the reviews that it was dry, and I thought it would be easier to do less pasta than more sauce. I also added red pepper because I had it on hand.

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2012
I thought this was super-delightful. I didn't put in the green onions because I didn't have them, and I think it would have been better with them. But even without, it was nice, light and refreshing.

Mac and Cheese Henwood Style

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2012
I never really get a homemade feel from stuff with Velveeta, but this was totally delicious. The little bit of cheddar and blue cheese (I used Gorgonzola) took away the processed taste from the Velveeta but left the creaminess.

Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cup Pie

The kids loved this, and I loved how easy it was, but it didn't blow me away or anything.

Soft-Shell Chicken Tacos

Reviewed: May 5, 2012
Super amazing and super easy! We used fresh onions and peppers. I cooked the chicken first, then took the chicken out, added a bit more oil and cooked the peppers and onions. Then I added back in the chicken and heated through.

A little weird. I added rum, which made it a bit better.

Italian Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
This was delicious! I added a can of v-8, and it was still thick. I would have added more, but I was out of room in the pot.

Cucumber Slices With Dill

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2012
Delicious! I left out the water because the cucumbers definitely release plenty, and I used less sugar, but the flavors were perfect!

Corn, Sausage and Pepper Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
I thought this was delicious, and I thought it thickened pretty well. The only changes I made were that I used russet potatoes because that is what I had, and I didn't bother to puree the corn.

Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
My kids loved this, and I thought it was pretty tasty too. I made them on an electric griddle, and I had no problem with them falling apart like other reviewers, but I also didn't have grates to contend with.

Salmon with Brown Sugar Glaze

I baked it, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. It was pretty good, but not knock-your-socks off to me.

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
Loved this! I made it as is, and thought there was plenty of marinade. I cooked it to 140 as the new USDA guidelines suggest, instead of 160.
