Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

This was so good. I couldn't decide to keep the sauce as is or to blend it as many suggested. So, we did a taste off with half the sauce blended and half the sauce left in it's original form. And the winner was definitely to leave it as is. The chunks of shallots were amazing. The blended version was a bit too thick. Will definitely make again and again!

Apple Walnut Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette

Very good. I caramalized the walnuts for extra flavour. Big hit at christmas party. I also used an assortment of apples. Serve with herbed feta or blue cheese for variety. The dressing is amazing!

Rosemary Braised Lamb Shanks

This is one of our favourite recipes. We have been making it for years. I brown the shanks and then place in slow cooker. I cook veg and sauce until boiling and then poured ontop of shanks. I cook on low for 7 hours (or high for 4 hours.) So tender! I then remove shanks and thicken sauce with a water/cornstarch mixture. Yummy!!!!

Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake

very good. i made for my Australian husband on Australia day and he loved it! i cut the recipe in half as there was just 2 of us. worked perfectly. i didn't make half the sauce though- and I'm glad. the more sauce the better.

Poppy Seed Poultry Casserole

Quite nice. I added lots of mushrooms, corn, red pepper and red onion. Also, I added garlic and extra dill to give it more flavour. I also used one can of cream of mushroom soup and one can of cream of chicken with some extra milk. We use brown rice as thats all we eat. Turned out great. I will make again maybe next time with even more veggies! Thanks for the recipe.

Mexican Bean Salad

excellent! I liked the spice, and added alittle extra. I also used cans of mixed beans. They have 6-9 different beans in them and found it worked very well. also added alot more colour. Very festive salad! Lots of compliments.

Artichoke Dip I

This is the best dip ever! I served it twice in one week at two different parties. It disapeared very quickly!!!!The second time I had barely got back from returning the oven mitts to the kitchen when it was all gone! I added 4 cloves of fresh garlic to give it an extra zip. i also kept a close eye on it from 20 minuits on in order not to overcook. Will definately make again and again.

Slow-Cooked German Short Ribs

Were these ribs ever good!! We had to eat them with a knife and fork because the meat had all fallen off the bone....and the gravy! Everyone at the table said they were the best ribs they had ever had. Will definately make time and time again. No body could believe that I had not slaved for hours to make them. Thanks for the recipe!

Chewy Granola Bars

I have made this recipe many times. You definately need to up the honey and butter content though. Otherwise way too dry. I substitute whole wheat flour for the white and Becel margarine for the butter. just to make a little healthier. I also include Craisins (cranberry raisins) which adds a bit of colour and taste. Very Yummy! Thanks for the recipe!
