Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2005
Very tasty pork chops and tender too! Next time I think I will opt for a different wine though. I used Yellow Tail chardonnay and it was a bit too sweet. Thanks a bunch!

German Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2003
I am not usually a big fan of german chocolate cake because I don't like coconut. However, I made this cake for my family and they loved it. It was all gone in two days. I used less coconut and more pecans to suit my taste better. I enjoyed a piece myself. This will be my german chocolate cake recipe from now on. Thanks so much for sharing.

Batter White Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2003
This was the first time I have made homemade bread and it turned out wonderful. My husband ate half the loaf as soon as it came out of the oven. I did decrease the salt as mentioned in other reviews. Very good bread to eat with a meal. This was very easy and I will make again. Thanks so much for sharing Ed.

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2003
My best friend whom is pregnant was craving a cake with buttercream frosting, so I chose this to make for her. The frosting turned out absolutely delicious. She loved it too. She said she couldn't believe I made this cake, she bragged on how "talented" I was, lol. Thanks for sharing Rick.

Melt In Your Mouth Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2003
These cookies had an excellent taste and they were very easy to make. However, the cookies turned out a little flat. Maybe next time I will omit the water for a thicker cookie. You wouldn't know the difference though if you ate them blindfolded. Thanks for sharing. I will make again.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2003
I picked this recipe over the other sugar cookie recipes because my husband was in the mood to cook. These looked easy enough for him to make and we had all the ingredients on hand so he went at it. These were excellent. I was very surprised that my husband made these. I asked him if he was sure didn't cheat and pick these up at the bakery. Thanks so much or sharing Stephanie.

Dog Treats I

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2003
My 5 month old shih-tzu puppy loved these! I had to break them up into small pieces for her so she could eat them instead of her trying to gobble them down whole. Thanks so much for sharing. A+++++++

These were excellent tasting brownies, however the texture was a little more fudgey than I like. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks so much for sharing.

Kentucky Butter Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2003
I hate to say it but this cake is almost better than my grandmother's homemade pound cake. My husband and I loved this cake and the icing just sets it off completely. Thanks so much for sharing.

Giant Crisp Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2003
I did a few alterations to these cookies and they turned out wonderful! I used 1 3/4 cups of flour instead of 2 cups, added a tablespoon of unsweeted applesauce, omitted the walnuts and only cooked them for 11 minutes. I think the reason they might have turned out hard with others is that they were being overcooked at the 20-23 minutes. Thanks so much for sharing Patricia.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2003
This was my first time making peanut butter fudge and this turned out very good. It was just a tad bit sweet for my taste. So, I might cut back on the confectioners next time. Thanks so much for sharing Angie.

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2003
Very good frosting, turned out perfect and easy too. I added a tablespoon of butter and 1/2 a teaspoon of extra vanilla for extra taste. I think this frosting could also be used on cakes. I will definately add this to my collection. Thanks so much for sharing Kathy.

Chewy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2003
Overall a great tasting cookie. Hard to get to the right constistency. I baked one batch for 9 minutes and it was too soft, baked another for 11 minutes and it was too hard. About half the batch fell apart but we ended up eatting the pieces right off the cookie sheets because they tasted so good. I don't know what I could to make the cookies stay together better. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks for sharing Cindy.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2003
This cookies turned out wonderful! My husband loves them. I didn't have any oatmeal so I omitted it. I added 1/4 cup of flour and a teaspoon of vanilla. I reduced the salt to 1/2 a teaspoon and used 3/4 a cup of crunchy peanut butter and 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter. I didn't flatten the cookies at all either I just dropped the dough by the teaspoonful onto the cookie sheet. Very good tasting and excellent texture. Thanks for sharing.
