Stuffed Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
The stuffing was very tasty. But you need more moisture to add to the bread crumb mixture. I added some melted butter and 1 more beaten egg. Cooking them on the BBQ gives them a nice crispy coating, then served with red cabbage and pork gravy

Banana Fritters

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
These fritters are very moist and tasty. I added 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra flavour. They seem to cook too fast at 375 F, so I set my oil at 350 and cooked them approx. 6 mins. Also took icing sugar and milk, mixed to a thick drizzle consistency and drizzle over the fritters

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
Its a great cheesecake recipe, but not an authentic New York cheesecake. I prefer to use a shortbread crust with all my cheesecakes. Here is the recipe for this crust # 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour # 1/3 cup white sugar # 1 egg, beaten # 1/2 cup butter, softened Mix all ingredients together and press into a 9" springform pan, bake at 400 degree oven for 15 min, remove and let cool. I also fill a pan with 1-2" of water and place it in the oven when baking the cheesecake, this prevents cracks in the surface

Souvlaki

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
There is a very important point left out in this recipe. If you are using wooden skewers, soak them for 1 hour in water, this prevents the wood from burning on the grill

Cauliflower with Dijon Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
I use this recipe all the time, but I boil the whole head of cauliflower, and I use regular yellow mustard, I found that the mustard in this recipe was too strong

Nova Scotia Blueberry Cream Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
I found that 4 cups of blueberries was a bit too much. 3 cups would have been good. The blueberries were too tart, so next time I would sprinkle sugar over the blueberries before spreading the batter over the berries. Other than that my family loved it for our 'cake & coffee' Sunday

German Apple Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
The batter is way to thick even to fold in the chopped apples. Next time I would add some applesauce to make it moist. I had to bake it for a total of 90 mins. I was far from being done after 45 mins

Southwestern Egg Rolls

These were super, my guests just loved them. If you don't secure them with toothpicks, they will fall apart in the oil.

Butter Fried Zucchini

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2006
The batter doesn't stick very well to the zucchini. Better if they were deep fried.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
I had to change it to metric as I am in Germany. Also I didn't have enough banana's so I added applesauce for moisture. I found that 12 mins was too much time for the cookies. Also add a bit more flour, as the cookies will spread out too much if you don't.

Living in Germany, and ceaser salad is unheard of here. I made this for my neighbours and they loved it, tasted like authentic ceaser salad I got back home in Canada. I will keep this recipe and use it in Germany always.

I made this recipe for our neighbours in Germany. They loved it, something they had never tasted. I omitted the olives as most Germans dont like olives.
