Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2012
Yummy is an understatement. Hubby made these for my birthday dinner. He used milk and flour; then milk and breadcrumbs; then milk and panko breadcrumbs (by accident). Delicious!! Will make again and again!!

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
This was my first time making crab cakes. I took advice of other reviewers and only used 4 ounces of buttery round crackers. I also added in an additional tablespoon of mayonnaise to help cakes form better. The whole family loved them! Next time I will try to make a spicy sauce to go with them.

Pesto Sauce

Excellent. I made this for a ladies luncheon. Put on french bread with fresh tomatoes and cheese then toasted to melt the cheese. I had to give everyone the recipe. I will make again!!

Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
Awesome! I didn't have any cloves on hand, so I left them out. I also only had one loaf pan, so I made 12 large muffins with the remainder of the batter. Those would be good with a cream cheese drizzle. I will definitely make again!!!

Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I made this for my friend and her 11 year old son's birthdays. It was awesome!!!! I took the advice of other reviewers and after the baking time I turned the oven off, cracked the door and let the cheesecake sit in the oven for 30 minutes to set. It turned out beautifully. I will definitely make again!

Pecan Pie IV

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
Awesome. I cooked two pies at once so it took a little longer to set. Having foil over the edges of the crust helped so it didn't burn. Will make again!!

Curry Kabobs

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
YUM, YUM, YUM. I cannot say enough good things about this recipe. I only used the chicken and spices to marinate it (I also doubled the curry powder). My whole family (including 3 picky boys) loved it. Next time I think I will use more curry.

Mexican Rice I

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
I made this last night and my family loved it. I didn't have regular tomatoes, only rotel, so I used them. I also used heaping 1/2 tsp. of cumin and chili powder. I had to add a little more water (it may have been the type of rice I used). I will definitely make this again!

I made this for my husband's Christmas party at work and everybody loved it. I will be making one for Christmas lunch. The only change I made was I used butter instead of margarine.

Apple Crisp IV

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
I made this dish to take to potluck at church and everybody loved it and it was not dry. When I was making it, I thought the recipe had said 1 1/2 sticks of butter, but it says 1 1/2 cups of butter. Maybe others who said it was too dry misread the recipe.

Awesome Roast Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2006
Just okay. What the recipes doesn't say is you should mix the broth and soup in a separate bowl and then pour over the beef.

Renaissance Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2006
I LOVE this recipe. Every time I make it for guests, they rave about it. I don't use the port wine (never have it in the house) and I use small mushrooms to stuff.

Black-Eyed Pea Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2004
AWESOME!! This is a great side dish. The ladies at my office loved it. My only problem was the recipe itself. I wasn't sure if you should drain and/or rinse the peas. Dry soaked black-eyed peas work best since they are firmer. You need to drain them. If you use black-eyed peas other than dry soaked, you need to drain and rinse them. Thanks for a great recipe Pam.

Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2003
I added ham to this recipe to make it a main dish. Was a little bland for a main dish. Next time I will try adding green chilies and using monteray jack w/jalapenos for the cheese.
