Rum or Bourbon Balls

These were fantastic. I've made rum balls before using cocoa powder and thought they were delicious but these are MUCH better, creamy and the flavor is much better. The dough was much easier to work with and though I didn't roll them in powdered sugar (used different sprinkles and whatnot) I think it would adhere better than my other recipe that seemed to soak it up within an hour. This is my go to recipe now.

Red Pepper Soup

Delicious. I altered the recipe just slightly though. I roasted the peppers and replaced the cream with a small potato and added some red pepper flakes for some kick.

Adobo Chicken with Ginger

This was just ok for us. My husband has been raving about the chicken adobo he had while deployed in Iraq so i searched around to find out how to make it. I tried his but he said what he had was more spicy sooo I just have to tweak or search again.

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

I thought they tasted good, but my husband could only taste the sweet potatoes and he isn't a fan of them...I think it was more mental than anything because i reduced the sweet potato a bit so he would eat them.

Spiced Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Delicious! I roasted my own red pepper to save some money and had to sub tahini for some peanut butter...I was able to find tahini but it was larger than the average jar or pb and not knowing the taste I didn't want to risk 7 dollars and have to throw it away just using 1 1/2 tbl worth. Will be making this often...if I can find a small jar of tahini i'll try that but until then the pb will work just fine. *UPDATE* Invested in the large jar of tahini because peanut butter just doesn't compare. If you are new try it with the pb but the flavor is better with tahini. My kids love this stuff and I love it with veggies or in place of mayo on a sandwich.

Bob's Habanero Hot Sauce - Liquid Fire

Great sauce! I didn't have 12 but i just left the seeds in what i had...like 6-7...also didn't have any canned peaches so I defrosted some unsweetened frozen peaches and just upped the sugar to 1 C. left out the mustard, didn't appeal to our tastes. Thickened it up a bit with some cornstarch over some heat and bam great sauce to add heat to whatever.

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

I made this for my daughters birthday cake/cupcakes...I used milk chocolate chips and the sweetness/tanginess was perfect! Used the cupcake recipe from 'cream filled cupcakes'...only gave 4 stars because it wouldn't of been sweet enough for my family if I used semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Best pizza crust ever!!! Made this tonight and it was crispy on the outside! I cooked mine a little too long so the inner dough was a little dry but that was my fault. I learned that if you wait until its light brown and then remove from the pan and put directly onto the oven rack you can get the bottom crispy as well. Will be putting this in my recipe box, its my new go to pizza crust recipe!

Curried Carrot Soup

This was pretty tastey...I did have to add a touch of salt at the end. I wouldn't add any more curry than what is stated though because it would just overpower it. I used red curry powder so maybe that's the difference.

Kelly's Butterscotch Pudding

This was pretty tastey...i liked the texture mainly, most cornstarch puddings I've made haven't really set up. I tasted it and then decided to add just a tad of cayenne to give it a little kick...pretty tastey that way as well...I think it could have had more butterscotch flavor though...I froze some for pudding pops...VERY good!

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Geeze this smelled soooo delicious while cooking! I used chicken breasts and baked at 375 for 45 minutes and broiled for 5. Used the exact ingredients and wouldn't change a thing! Husband dislikes chicken but ate every bite of his!
