Southwest Corn Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
This recipe was really good. I added diced cucumber and used a little less oil than was called for, but it got rave reviews. Something different in a pasta salad.

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
This recipe for sangria was excellent! I used champagne instead of club soda to add fizz and a little extra kick! Got rave reviews from my guests!

Blueberry Crisp II

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
I made this for a potluck-style picnic and didn't get to try it because it was gone by the time I got to it in line. However, it got rave reviews and I will definitely make again (just for myself!)

Avocado, Tomato and Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
This recipe is excellent. I only used 2 cloves of garlic based on other reviews and it was still garlicky. I also used the juice of 2 limes (more than 2 T) and then let it sit for 2 hours or so. Rave reviews from friends. I will definitely make again.

Hearty Turkey Soup with Parsley Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2005
This recipe was fantastic. I did not have a rutabaga in the house, so I used 2 small potatoes with great results. Also did not have fresh parsley, but the dumplings were still great. I highly recommend this recipe!

Buttermilk Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2004
This bread was excellent. However, based on other reviews and other bread machine recipes I have made, I lowered the bread flour to 2 cups and added 2 T. of Gluten. The bread was moist and tasty.

Black Bean and Corn Salad I

Reviewed: May 6, 2004
I served this salad for a Teacher's Appreciation luncheon and got rave reviews. They wished I had doubled it! I added fresh cilantro the next morning (about 1/2 cup chopped) because I thought it needed some color. Excellent recipe and easy!

This was excellent. I used angel food cake and added raspberry liquer and frozen blackberries with the frozen raspberries! Big hit!

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2003
We enjoyed this recipe. Even my kids ate it! My husband and I thought it could use additional spices so I may add oregano and/or basil next time I make it...will definitely make again.

I let this cook in the bread machine. It was o.k.

Sun Dried Tomato Focaccia

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
This has a strong sun-dried tomato flavor and was very good. I accidently added the oil into the bread machine and it didn't make a difference. It was a little lighter than the last time I made a focaccia (perhaps it was the oil). I also used fresh rosemary (2 Tablespoons) and cut the mozzarella to 1/2 cup. Very Good!

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2002
Average potato recipe. Good to make for weekday meal. My kids picked all the bacon off and did not really eat the potatoes. I would make again.

Ode-to-Chevre Bruschetta

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2002
This was gobbled up right away to rave reviews. I used regular olives instead of calamata because I had them in the house!

Apricot-Almond Bruschetta with Melted Brie

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2002
This was tasty and different. Definitely not good at room temperature. This needs to be served right out of the oven so not great to bring somewhere or for an 'appetizer party' where your guests are sampling.
