Garlicky Baked Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
I've already made this several times. A delightful change of pace and so much easier than baking squash halves and scooping them out!

Eggnog Thumbprints

Not very attractive. It seems like the dough balls should be rolled in nuts? The frosting and nutmeg make them delicious, though.

Quick mix describes these well. Very tender. I'll keep this recipe!

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Bland is an understatement. As is, this recipe is not worth the bother.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
This doesn't deserve 5 stars as written, but did with my changes based on other reviews. I used 1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce, and heavily sprinkled Italian seasoning, oregano, and basil on top. Only one can of tomato soup. Also uncoverd and added more shredded cheese for last 10 minutes of bake time. Cooked additional rice to serve with it. Delicious!

Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
They came out flat, and didn't have enough m&ms. But the college student I mailed them to said they were delicious.

Pot Roast in Beer

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
We really enjoyed this. Be sure to add salt and pepper when you brown the meat, though.

Blueberry Strata

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
Special and yummy breakfast or brunch dish. Good with butter and real maple syrup, but still a bit bland so it does need the sauce.

Ham and Shell Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
Everyone in my family enjoyed this recipe. The second time I made it with ring pasta, and we liked that even better than the shells. I used shredded cheese for the convenience.

Blueberry Peach Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
These just didn't have enough flavor for me. I admit I put the topping ingredients in the batter, as others suggested. They were fine, but there are better recipes out there.

Turkey Lo Mein

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
Surprisingly good! I made it with 3 cups of leftover turkey. Next time I'll add both seasoning packets, because we needed to add pepper at the table.

Ham Spread

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
Tastes a lot like the deli spread. I made it with sweet relish, because it's what we had, but next time I'll use dill. We felt it needed more relish, but didn't really measure it anyway. So glad to get this recipe!

Grandma's Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
Definitely needs a chopped onion added, and ground pepper, otherwise a great recipe. I used 3 c ham, 8 potatoes, 2 c. carrots, 1 onion, 2 cans of soup and 1 can of milk. No mushrooms. It was a hit with my family.

Cheese Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2010
Too stiff for drop biscuits. I added 2 T. more milk. Next time I'll double the cheese, too, and double the garlic salt but omit the regular salt.

Oven-Baked Caramel French Toast

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
Definitely forget about the extra sauce. We've made a recipe like this many times, but the pecans were a great addition. I cut my french bread one inch thick and filled in any gaps. Texture was perfect.
