Being from the south I LOVE black beans. I baked this thinking that I wouldn't be able to taste the beans, but they are ALL I could taste. I tried this recipe to make a low fat version of brownies. I suggest modifying other recipes.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Chocolate Chip Dream Bars

These were too gooey. They didn't set. Maybe if I made them the day before... I think the recipe has potential but needs some tweeking and because of that, I am only giving 2 stars. Sorry.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

I have made this several times and it is always a hit! It makes the perfect amount for our family of six to eat with chili or soup. I substituted milk for buttermilk because that was what I had. Thanks for the great recipe.

Best Ever Popcorn Balls

It was a huge hit! I was asked to bring popcorn balls, but I had never eaten or made them before. I made them exactly like the recipe. I only wish I had followed others suggestions and mixed it in a flat/shallow dish like a casserole dish and not a bowl. Messy.

Fantastic recipe. I substituted 1/2 cup margarine and 1/2 cup butter flavoring shortening for the butter. They turned out soft and delicious. I followed the directions and made the 3 Tbsp. dough balls. They made a LARGE cookie. It was fun for the kids to eat, but next time I will probably make the balls smaller for regular sized cookies. Thanks for the recipe. I will be making these again-soon.

Pudding Chocolate Chunk Cookies

These turned out great! I made mine using chocolate pudding and miniature m&m candies. They were a huge hit with my kids. I think there are endless possible combinations. I will definitely use this recipe often.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Rich Chocolate Frosting

I love this frosting. It is very versatile. Use less liquid and it can make roses and stiff flowers, add more liquid and it is a creamy frosting. My advice is make sure the butter is room temperature and cream well, and then add the cocoa and cream them together well. Then, add the sugar and milk for a non-gritty texture. I followed others advice and reduced the cocoa. I also made the frosting the day before so the taste was smooth. It makes a generous amount and generously frosted and decorated a 12 inch double layer cake.

Clone of a Cinnabon

My sister has a wonderful cinnamon roll recipe that she won't share. I set out to find a good recipe, and this recipe is better than my sister's! So, if you're reading this Lynette-I don't need your recipe anymore-this one beats yours! ;) I don't have a bread machine so I used other reviewer's advice on how to make this without a bread machine. I also made them the night before and put them in the fridge just before letting them rise the last time. I just pulled them out the next morning and put them in a cold oven, turned it to 350 degrees, and baked for 25 minutes. Next time I will probably place them in 2 8X8 pans or 2 8" round pans to give them more room to expand and for more even baking. In my 9X13 pan, the outer buns browned and baked well while the inner buns had some doughie spots. I made no changes to the recipe and it came out delicious.

Blueberry Coffee Cake

I loved it! Like another reviewer, I was a little confused about the cream cheese chunks. I creamed 80% of the cream cheese and added the other chunks. Next time, I'll cream it all. The chunks made for an odd bite here and there. I also used brown sugar for the topping (like others) and highly suggest it. This recipe is delicious and all my children, even the picky ones, devoured it.

No Bake Cookies III

Liked it. Bumped up the cocoa and peanut butter for more flavor. Boiled for 3 minuted to make sure there was a smooth (not gritty) texture.

Basic Cream Cheese Frosting

This is devine! I have used it on chocolate cakes, banana nut bread, and for frosting sugar cookies. This recipe yields a generous amount, so I have 1/2 it to use for smaller needs and turns out perfectly.
