I'm a rather picky eater, there are a good many things I don't like but I am willing to try new things (given that the smell doesn't trigger my gag reflex before I even taste it).
My favorite things to cook
I love making pies, and decorating cakes, and cooking things with odd ingredients like artichoke hearts and olives and just seeing if it works out.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Always make a pumpkin pie for thanksgiving.
My cooking triumphs
My Pushing Daisies inspired pies are well known in my circle of friends for being the best pies around
My cooking tragedies
Once I made Ratatouille (to look like the one in the movie of the same name, which we watched that night) and I forgot to put the wax paper over it so it didn't steam at all, it was dry and undercooked. I still haven't had a chance to make it again.

Savory Chicken Breasts
Made this a couple weeks back. Making it again. I used provolone instead of Swiss because neither I nor my husband like Swiss. Also added garlic to the soup mix and parmesan to the bread crumbs. This time I drizzled garlic olive oil instead of melted butted for the added garlic flavor. Served with baked potatoes and mixed veggies.

Glazed Pumpkin Donuts
made this cause I bought a donut pan and wanted to use it. Turned out perfect! Though for the cinnamon sugar on top it took a lot more than 1/4 cup melted butter to coat a dozen of those babies. For thanksgiving I'm going to alter the recipe using pre cooked apple compote with cinnamon instead of pumpkin pie spice. :)
