Dannon Blueberry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2012
I made it exactly according to the directions. It is very good. A dense & moist cake, as many other reviewers mentioned. If I had it to do over again, however, I'd taste my blueberries first. The reason is that the blueberries I got were particularly tart, and the cake itself isn't very sweet (though the streusel layer makes up for that). I would say if you use very sweet berries, you can just follow this exactly. If you're using tart berries, consider adding more sugar (1/4 or 1/2 a cup more)

Chocolate Zucchini Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2012
For a "healthy" cake, this is pretty good. I ended up using Dutch process cocoa because that's what I had on hand. And I tried to make it low-fat by substituting applesauce for some of the oil (I think I did 1 cup unsweetened applesauce and 1/2 cup oil). But the finished product came out dark, fudge-like, and delicious.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
As many others have said, this is a really good basic sloppy joe recipe. I did as other suggested and doubled everything but the meat. I also cooked the meat and veggies on the stove and then transferred them to the crock pot and added the sauce and cooked on low for about 2-3 hours. I used dijon mustard, I used red and green bell pepper, and I added a few dashes of tobasco. It was really delicious! And definitely an easy meal to feed a crowd!

Easy Spicy Thai Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
I love Thai food, and this was a perfect make-at-home substitute. I like to use Ken's Steakhouse Asian-Sesame dressing, and it's light, which is nice. I use about 1 and 1/2 cups. I didn't have ginger-garlic paste, so I use garlic instead. Also, once the chicken is cooked, I add in julienne bell pepper and carrots and let them cook for 20-30 minutes. Serve over rice - soooo yummy!

Rice Pudding in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
This is a pretty easy method for rice pudding. I agree you need to cook this on high for about 3 hours. I had some half & half in the fridge, so I used 12 oz of evaporated milk and 12 oz of half & half. I would probably increase the amount of liquid next time because the ratios in the recipe resulted in a sort of gummy pudding, and I like mine a little creamier. Probably add another 6-8 oz of evaporated milk. I also didn't have a cinnamon stick, so i put in 1 tsp of ground cinnamon, and it was pretty tasty. A pinch of salt didn't hurt either. I stirred about every 30 minutes, and the end result was pretty tasty.
