White Almond Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2014
I baked this cake this afternoon but like one other person had mentioned I used an 9x13 inch pan & also made 6 cupcakes. I wanted to use a disposable pan since I'm taking the cake somewhere & don't have the larger pan except in my good pans. I did bake both at 350 instead of 325 and the cake took about 35-40 minutes whereas the cupcakes were 30-35 minutes. I used a chocolate frosting recipe and decorated with sliced almonds. My husband & I both thought the cupcakes were really good. He wasn't sure he would like it as well with a white frosting. He even suggested they would be good with whip cream in the middle.

Lemon Custard Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
Made this dessert late this afternoon as the recipe said -- no changes. Sugar & lemon amounts were fine. My husband loved it -- said it's a keeper. We tried it about an hour after coming out of the oven. Will be baking again.

Pumpkin French Toast Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I made it for breakfast after Thanksgiving when I had family here to help eat it. I only used about half loaf of Texas bread and like some previous reviews I mixed it in a bowl & then poured into the pan. Everyone liked it - my husband loved it so it's a keeper. Next time may add some pecans --- didn't this time because I knew some of the kids didn't care for nuts.

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
I doubled the recipe for 13x9 pan & baked for about 35 minutes. They are a fudgy brownie (so not a thick brownie) and even better with chocolate frosting sprinkled with a few chopped pecans. My husband loved them so it's a keeper.

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
I made the brownies per the recipe except using 1 cup flour instead of 1 1/2 cups plus I used pecans instead of walnuts. They were a fudgy brownie - not very thick and my husband loved them. I also put chocolate frosting on them with additional chopped pecans. It is definitely a keeper for our family.
