About this Cook
I am a wife of eight years with one human child and six feline children I just had my daughter this year, and I'm learning to cook more healthy vegan/vegetarian options for her as she gets older. I've been a vegetarian for over eight years, since I was twenty years old. I'm lactose intolerant and prefer to cook without eggs. I've been cooking since I was standing at a stool in my mother's kitchen. I love the variety of tastes of Asia, especially curry. I have experience working as a server at an Indian cuisine restaurant where I never tired of the food. I'm also an amateur gardener with a passion for herbs, fresh fruits, and vegetables as well as flowers. I am interested in organic ingredients when possible but I'm not a snob when it comes to food as long as it is vegetarian/vegan. I love to eat and have a healthy appetite. I'm an addict of food, home improvement, and gardening shows when I get the chance to be.
My favorite things to cook
Tofu, asparagus, spaghetti sauce, stir-fry, curry
My cooking triumphs
I'm learning to bake vegan desserts
My cooking tragedies
Watch the amount of cilantro or nutmeg and don't forget to press the tofu

Vegan Chocolate Cake
This was a delicious no egg try, but I found it to be a little dry. I found a chocolate glaze recipe elsewhere that I added to this, which made it not so dry. I would try this recipe again, but maybe change up the ingredients. Make sure to thoroughly grease the pan because my first batch broke in two trying to get it out. We ended up eating it from the pan, but perhaps I did not take it out of the pan to cool fast enough.

Vegan Brownies
These are excellent no-egg brownies that I would recommend. I am trying variations on cutting down the amount of oil in this recipe, but they are thick and delicious as is in this recipe. They can turn into a crumbly pile of goodness.
