i did almost everything in my power to mess up this recipe. no buttermilk - used skim milk and vinegar; not even close to enough red food coloring; subbed butter for shortening; of course didn't sift flour... i made cupcakes and they turned out delicious!! i frosted them with my own recipe for cream cheese icing and they were fantastic. thanks!

Tempeh Mock Tuna Salad

this wasn't too bad. it is not really a good substitution for tuna salad in my opinion. i prefer preparing tempeh in other ways - like with bbq sauce on a sandwich or in a stir fry with pepper sauce.

Cabbage and Pasta

this recipe was great. i actually added a bit of non-fat sour cream at the end to make it a creamy version. delicious - and my boyfriend who though he didn't like cabbage LOVED it.

Carrot Cake III

Great recipe - i picked it b/c it was one of the few carrot cake recipes w/o canned pineapple (which i didn't have). only changes i made were 1) substituted half of the oil with apple sauce, 2) used half the amt of sugar in the icing (i like mine a bit less sweet - it was perfect w/ 2 cups), and 3) sprinkled walnuts on top of the cake (instead of mixing them in). so good - thanks so much for sharing the recipe!

pretty good stew. a little bland though. i added more veggies (celery, mushrooms, sweet potatoes). not sure what to do to spice it up. very easy to make.

I really didn't like this recipe - and it's not because i anticipated an "American Stew" as one of the reviewers suggested. the flavor was bad and the vegetables got very soggy. it was a waste of lots of good veggies :(

Easy One Skillet Stroganoff

i loved this recipe. i took the advice of some other reviewers and used veggie meatballs (crumbled). added the tbsp of worcestershire as well as a splash of red table wine. it was delicious and easy - i'll definitely make it again.
