Veal Chop with Portabello Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
I doubled the recipe and had WAY too much liquid. It never boiled down, so I didn't have a sauce - just a pan full of liquid. I was focused on that and didn't time the chops, which got over-done. Next time, I'd only use about 1 3/4 cups broth, plus the wine, for 4 chops. Good flavor, though.

Shrimp Fried Rice II

I was surprised at how much my family liked this, considering how easy and quick it was to prepare!

Seminary Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
I followed the lead of others, and replaced the chocolate with frozen blueberries. I also used pecans instead of walnuts. Big hit with the teenage boys, who didn't know these were "healthy" muffins!

Chex® Lemon Buddies

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
I also got soggy Chex - I think it would have helped to melt the butter first, then add the vanilla chips & lemon. I think my chip/lemon mixture thickened while the butter was melting. But they are delicious!

Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
The flavor was great, but the muffins did not cook in 20 minutes. Mine took about 30 minutes, and even then the centers were suspiciously uncooked in appearance and texture.

Basmati with Toasted Noodles

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
Great. I used angel hair pasta, broken in thirds, and it worked fine. Next time, I will break the pasta into smaller pieces before cooking.

Blueberry Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
Delicious and big hit at our house. I had some cinnamon-sugar to use up, so I put that in the topping, and it was great. Altered the peach-blueberry ratio a bit (more berries) and the consistency was still fine.
