Scim's Fettucine Alfredo with Shrimp

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
This is a great fettucine alfredo recipe. I hardly changed anything. I switch swiss cheese for the parmesan just because I didn't have any on hand. I did add pepper, parsley, and garlic to the sauce. Having said this I would like to point out something I didn't understand in the recipe. Why would you add cooked shrimp and then cook it for 15 min. I really think that if you followed this part of the recipe you would end up with bad shrimp. Don't add the shrimp until after you have cooked the sause for 15 min and then just heat them through. Very simple, easy tasty recipe.

Mushroom Slow Cooker Roast Beef

This is how I'll be making my roast beef from now on. It was wonderful. I didn't use fresh mushroom, but canned and it was still great. Thanks. Love it.

Didn't turn out. I don't know what happened. I did follow the recipe exactly, but they turn out like little hard disks.

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2007
Excellent dish. My husand and I loved it. I would make this even without the seafood. It's very good. I did use fresh herbs like the recipe says but I probably won't in the future. I'll stick with dried and cut the amounts.

New Orleans Shrimp

The only flavor this had was the red pepper flakes. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either.

Memorial Day Best BBQ Chicken Ever!

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2007
Very good flavor. I wasn't able to marinate it overnight only for about six hours, but it was still very good. I did use the red chili sause instead of ketchup as suggested by another reviewer. My family really enjoyed it.

Dirt Cake II

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2007
This turned out really great. My girls loved it. I didn't realy follow the directions and thought I needed more cookie crumbs so following the advise of other reviewers I used more then directed. The cake turned out too crummy. Next time I'll follow the directions exactly. Also, it didn't say in the recipe but you do need to add the milk slowly to the cream cheese and butter. Add it all at once and you end up with a mess, but a little bit at a time will work together nicely. I was in a hurry and forgot that little cooking tip. =)

Best Ever Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2007
As it is written this recipe has too much dressing. Another reviewer said that it was to keep it from drying out? There is NO chance of that. Cut the mayo by half and the dill and I think it would be a good recipe. Will try it again but will make the changes I mentioned.

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2006
I love, love, love this dish. I have made it several times and it's always a big hit. The first time I made it I didn't have any cheese on hand so I did without and it was so good that I have never put cheese on it. I serve it over white rice, add crusty bread and a tossed salad and it's a fantastic meal.
