About this Cook
A wife and mother, I work as an RN at a local hospital. I enjoy antiques, painting, crafts, etc. I am married and we have 2 kids. We also have a dog. We live in a great big brick Victorian Italianate house which I am very fond of. My dream is to get it, the yard, and the outbuildings looking like they would have back in the day, almost 150 years ago. I like to do things with my family and friends. I like going to garage sales, flea markets, and antique stores. I am interested in gardening and raising our own food, and would like to get some chickens.
My favorite things to cook
Lasagne Casseroles Grilled meats Salads Pie
My favorite family cooking traditions
I usually like to make Christmas cookies and candy with my daughter and/ or my friends/ relatives.
My cooking triumphs
I won grand champion in a cooking contest for making a beef wellington once. We also won an award and $1000 for a beef item we made from the beef council in our state.
My cooking tragedies
Once I put baking soda accidentally in something instead of corn starch. It was pretty nasty. I got most of it picked out but still had to throw it away.

Peach Crisp III
This is really good, i didnt have any granola and i didnt want to mess with going to the store so i dug around and found a couple of granola bars and used them. I used this to make apple crisp the other day too.

Savory Cinnamon Rolls
Really good. I used the whole box of cake mix (18 oz) and a little less flour. Im going to use this dough for caramel pecan rolls too.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
I thought this was good. I used one can of chicken gravy to replace one of the cans of soup and also added some carrots, peas, etc. The kids really liked it. My husband doesnt like chicken and he thought it was good.
