Chef John's Banana Bread
This banana bread was very easy and had great taste and texture, not overly moist like some recipes and not too dry either. I used 1tsp vanilla and added 1 cup of chocolate chips and no nuts. I used a 9 x 4" loaf pan, but ended up having a big spill over in my oven half way through baking. This may have happened because baking at altitude (5800 ft) can often produce surprises. Nevertheless, next time I will use a larger loaf pan.

Marinade for Chicken
This is a great marinade. I've been using this exact one for flank and skirt steaks for the last 25 years. It's especially good if you can marinade for up 8-10 hours before grilling; anymore and you risk burning the meat. It was my mother who gave me the recipe, though I don't know where she got it from originally. It is my go-to recipe and I'm so happy to see it on the web. No more looking through those old, stained and now disorganized recipe cards!!! Thanks.
