Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2011
I was not sure about this recipe because I had never had scallop potatoes without cheese. But It was wonderful. I followed the recipe exactly and my husband and son loved it. There was no leftovers left. This is definately a keeper.

Italian Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
Very good cake. I took it to my church gathering and everyone loved it. It was gone in no time. I did add a box of vanilla pudding to the dry ingredients to make sure it was moist. I really didn't taste the pineapple or coconut, I may have to add extra next time. I didn't mix the pecans in the frosting, I sprinkle them on top. I felt like the cake was a little bit overcooked, maybe I'll cut the time by a few minutes next time. Overall, a very good cake, will definately make it over the holidays.

Mama's Italian Wedding Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
Absolutely a great soup. I took it to our monthly church gathering and I had numerous people ask me for the recipe. I double the batch since it was for a potluck, I added extra shells. To the meat, I added garlic powder, a good dash of season salt, and pepper. After reading the other reviews, I also baked the meatballs. It was excellent. I will make it again.

Mel's Magnificent Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
This cookies have a great flavor, I had a hard time mixing the chilled butter with the other ingredients. Not sure if the butter should actually be soften. I added an extra cup of chocolate chips.I made it into 1 inch balls since the dough was too stiff to drop from spoon. My husband loved the flavor. I will probably make again but I will experiment with the butter and perhaps adding nuts next time.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Best applie pie I have ever made. I've already made it twice and it's gone the same day. I added a dash of nutmeg and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to the glazed. I pour the glaze into the apples and stirred it leaving enough to brush on top. Great recipe, will definately make it over the holidays.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Good easy recipe. After reading the reviews, I decided to add an apple and a slice onion to it. I added brown sugar. My husband loved it, but my son didn't care for it. I thought it was pretty good and I'm not a fan of sauerkraut.

Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2011
This turned out to be very good. I made some changes. I omitted the potatoes and celery. I added a can of cream of celery, and 2 cans of cream of chicken. I thicken it with some cornstarch. I made double the dumplings recipe. My husband's friend who claimed that he didn't particularly care for chicken and dumplings absolutely loved it. this had definately replaced my old recipe from now on.

Zippy Ground Beef Skillet

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
Tried this recipe tonight. My husband loved it. I think it lack something else. I changed it a little by using 1-14.5 can of tomatos (sweet onion flavor) and 1-14.5 can of petite dice tomatos. I added a dask of season all, cumin, peeper and salt. I only used 8 oz of regular sour cream. Overall it was a good quick recipe to make after a long days work.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
Great Recipe. My husband loved it. He said it was better than Chili's and Jason's Deli. I made 1 1/2 of the recipe to be able to share with my daughter and her family and my neighbor. I change the recipe a little. To make more servings, I added 6 cans of chicken broth and 1 16oz package of chopped broccoli and 1 16oz package of broccoli florets. I used 2 1/4 lbs of velveeta cheese cut into small cubes, 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded and 3 slices of american cheese torn into pieces. I did not use water, I only used 1 1/4 cup of milk and use both flour and cornstarch to get it to the right thickness. I will definitely make this one over the cold winter days.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
These cookies turned out pretty flavorful except a little bit dry and crumbly. I don't know if the oats cause the dryness or not, but I may leave out the oats next time.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
This turned up very good. I double the batch but put 1/3 Cup brown sugar in the batter and 3/4 cup of white sugar. They were a little bit dry, but I must have baked them a little longer. I added chopped walnuts to the topping. I'm taking some to my co-workers tomorrow and see how they like them.

Glazed Beef Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
This turned out very good, the only thing was that the onions were still a little crunchy. Next time, I'll try cooking the onions first before I put them in the meat mixture. My husband loved the carrots, he said it was a change from traditional meatloaf and my son loved the glazed. He must have eaten 1/2 of the loaf. He's a big boy.

Simple Hamburger Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
My family enjoyed this dish. I had never made Beef Stroganoff before. I used round steak instead of ground beef and only used 1/2 of the cream cheese. It came out just the righ consistency. It was very easy and quick to make. It's definately a repeat at my house.
