About this Cook
I love trying out new recipes, especially when they call for anything fresh. The taste of the food that you get when using fresh herbs or vegetables is wonderful. My husband and I love cooking together. Whether it is trying a new recipe or an old family one.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking more than anything and Gil loves grilling, especially seafood. There were times when I thought he would melt from cooking on the grill during the summer, that's how much he loves it. My favorite recipe is called, "Mom's Easy Apple Crisp". Just a few ingredients and it's done. I usually put it in a 9X9 pan which makes it just enough for 4 people. It doesn't last one day - Gil eats it all. :o)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband and I have been married since Sept 2000 and we try to keep each of our family recipes going in our family. The wonderful and spicy Mexican recipes his mother shares with us and the great cheesy Italian ones from mine.
My cooking triumphs
I made a Thanksgiving dinner for 6 people for the first time (2002). It came out awesome! There were hardly any left overs!
My cooking tragedies
If you don't have a great imagination for what should or shouldn't go together, then make sure you follow a recipe! Just because it is called "casserole" doesn't mean it will taste like one.

Babe Ruth Bars
Very simple and easy to make. You can definitely get the kids involved in this recipe! I followed the recipe exactly the first time, but will be "adventurous" next time and use a different cereal. I love how there isn't a lot of ingredients.

Nell's Macaroni Salad
This is a great recipe! When I made it, I used a tri-colored, multi-shape pasta. Thanks for sharing this recipe! :o)
