Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge

I finally found a fudge recipe like my moms that I can actually make! I wish there was a set stirring time though. I think I over stirred just a bit. It turned out a little hard.

Corn Dogs

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

I am a gastric bypass patient so I needed to make these sugar free. I used Splenda in place of the sugar, sf syrup for the corn syrup, natural peanut butter, and Special K Protein Plus for the cereal. Very easy and turned out delicious.

Grandma's Homemade Banana Bread

Really moist and tasty. My hubby said it was the best, but I think I like one with brown sugar just a bit better. Still a great recipe to add to your collection.

Uncle Mac's Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookies

EASY EASY EASY!!! These were tasty; however, I used black raspberry preserves by Dickinson and it didn't go well. We all liked the ones without the preserves best. I think I might try a sweeter grape or strawberry preserves next time. Watch the cooking time. They aren't good at all if you cook too long, 8-10 minutes tops.

Shortbread Cookies II

They really do melt in your mouth. I was surprised that so few ingredients made such a tasty little cookie. This was my first try with a cookie press and this recipe worked wonderfully, even though the directions that came with the press said to use only their recipe.

Hamburger Rice Soup

Great, easy soup!!! I found this recipe while looking for something to make with ground beef and a few cups of left over rice. It turned out great. I waited til the soup was about 15 minutes from being done to add the cooked rice. I also added a can of corn. My son who doesn't usually eat vegtable soup scarfed this one down.

Light Coconut Pie

EASY!!! I didn't do it light, however. I made it as directed but substituted regular cream cheese for the light and custard style vanilla yogurt for the coconut yogurt. My husband is a huge coconut lover and he was thrilled with it. I enjoyed it as well.

Cranberry Applesauce Muffins

If you love cranberry these are awesome. Cranberry Nut Muffins are my husband's favorite, so I decided to give these a try. He was thrilled and I certainly was not disappointed. They would be perfect for holidays.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

I used chicken breast pieces and cooked the mixture a little before adding it to the chicken and it still didn't carmelize well. I might try it again with more cooking of the mixture and less cooking of the chicken.

Banana Banana Bread

WOW WOW WOW! This was a wonderful bread. I did take the advice of other reviews and added an additional tsp of baking soda. It had a bit of overflow, so maybe an addition 1/2 tsp would have been good. I did NOT mind the overflow at all. It did rise and still had a great texture and was really moist. We will be making this one often. I enjoyed that it wasn't so sweet. My husband just enjoyed it, QUICKLY. This one lasted about 24 hours in my house.

Fluffy French Toast

It was good, but not much different from the way I normally make it. I did have a problem getting the cinnamon to mix; the first few pieces had all the cinnamon. I used regular white/wheat bread and that might have been the reason it didn't seem any fluffier than normal french toast. I agree with an earlier review that it's not worth the extra fat and calories you get by adding the flour and sugar.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I made several cookies from this site recently. Everyone went nuts over this recipe. I wouldn't change a thing; however, the batter I refrigerated for few days turned out the best. Thanks for a great recipe.
