Tomato Bisque II

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
Pretty good, the kids loved it, but definitely needed something else, I'll try some herbs or something spicy next time. Also, too much milk/butter, I might go much heavier on the tomato portion (like double) to that amount of milk.

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
These taste exactly how you'd think they taste, so good enough but nothing amazing. However they get 5 stars because of the reaction they got! Everyone at my party loved them. I giggled the whole time while making them, very cute. Might consider using something fancier than cream cheese like Alouette cheese next time for some flavor.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2008
Finally! The best applesauce recipe ever and it's really easy! I used my apple peeler/corer/slicer and had my total prep time was 5 minutes. I don't think I'll be buying applesauce anymore. I used Gala, Golden Delicious, and Mutsu apples.

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
These are really good, but not the best coconut macaroons I've had. The recipe is simple enough, I'd probably make it again if I needed some quick cookies, but I won't call off my search for the best macaroon recipe yet!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
The sauce was so good, the flavors went so well with the pork. The pork was a little dry, I might recommend putting a little of the sauce before it's reduced on the pork while it sits in the oven. Despite the dry pork, it still gets 5 stars! Wonderful and easy.

Black Forest Dump Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
It was fair. Certainly easy, but nothing I'd ever make again. My family said it had too many cherries. I didn't mind those, I just wasn't wild about the texture of the chocolate part.

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
Nothing special about these. Basically just pretty good sugar cookies. I couldn't taste the cream cheese in it. They definitely need sugar or something sweet on top. Worked well with a cookie press.

Green Beans with Bread Crumbs

I wasn't wild about it, but my husband loved it. Not too sure why- I generally like all the ingredients on their own.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
So great! I mixed most of the mozzarella cheese in with it all, and only put a little on top. Wonderful! Everyone at my Christmas party loved it, lots asked for the recipe.

White Chocolate Snack Mix

I added some dried cranberries and the m&ms once the rest of the mix was cooling to add color. So good!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2006
When I was first eating this, I thought I'd give it 4 stars. It was pretty good but bland. Then I realized I had put very little salt in it (I added the full teaspoon, but I had used unsalted butter and super low sodium chicken broth). I added salt to it, and it immediately became a 5 star recipe! I just used a whole package of frozen vegetables (peas, corn, carrots, green beans), and didn't have any celery. Otherwise no changes, and it was excellent! I really have to master getting the top crust to look nicer.

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2006
It sounded so great, but I think the cheddar cheese really ruined it! In the future, I may try to replace the cheese with something sweet and/or savory rather than sour and salty. It really has potential.

Apple Pie Wedges

Not much apple flavor, which was a bit disappointing- that was why I made this recipe. I also tried one with pumpkin butter, not too pumpkiny either. Good shortbread though.

So bland!!! Really needed something! I wound up melting some American cheese on top to give it some flavor, that helped

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2005
Far too salty, but I'd make it again, without the salt (since the beef bouillon has so much by itself). I kept having to add water (x3) because it all evaporated and the meat started drying out.
