About this Cook
Mom of 2 boys who eat almost anything (like frog legs and shrimp) but won't touch peas and carrots. And wife to a very picky eater (I am working on his eating habits, it has taken me years but he will now eat a steak medium instead of x-well done).
My favorite things to cook
Right now (JAn 2007) I am loving to cook anything morrocan, vietnamese, greek, and mexican.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Grandmother's Xmas pudding. Xmas is not the same without it!
My cooking triumphs
I created my own vietnamese spring roll recipe that rocks! I have also made rice wraps and Pho that are very good.
My cooking tragedies
I don't bake well, probably cause you have to measure!

Rustic Slow Cooker Stew
My husband who does not like stew loves this.

Skillet Balsamic Chicken
I like the base of this but the red wine vinegar is to strong and I am a vinegar lover. Next time I am trying some red wine instead. I used 1 tbsp of oregano and added the flour slowly and ended up only using a little better than a tbsp. My husband and son loved the meat but found the onions soaked up the vinegar flavour.
