Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2014
I LOVED this recipe. My daughter, who is very picky ate this also! I thought it had just enough flavor-I followed the recipe but took advantage of the comments to use the sour cream, yogurt, and mayo to equal the mayo amount. I used fresh garlic also. I will make this again-very easy. I sauteed spinach and put the chicken on it-served rice on the side...fantastic. I heard some substitutions for MARINATED artichokes and my sister made that and the marinade made it strange tasting..just my opinion.

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2014
these are so super good! I was thinking that they would way to sweet because of the amount of sugar...I cut them out into heart shapes this morning and put a nice dollop of Chocolate Icing on it....snacks for tonight! thanks for sharing..hard to find a good one that makes a 13 x 9!

Accidental Fish

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2013
I really liked this recipe....I was feeling like I had too much butter with the sauce so I think I will experiment a bit with that...I liked the simplicity of it and will make it again...

Bourbon-Mango Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
SERIOUSLY. Best Pulled Pork I have ever made...and I have tried many versions. I needed it for Sunday early afternoon so cooked the pork Friday/Friday night and shredded it. Put it in the fridge and on Saturday made the "dressing". Mixed it in, cold, and left it until Sunday am and heated it for the 2 hours. I find, sometimes, that too much "heating" causes it to cake and carmelize so was trying to aviod that. It was unbelievable. I have printed this recipe for 7 people at my party. Nice work! I used Sweet Baby Rays original for my BBQ sauce base.

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2013
This bread is super moiste and tastes good but why doesn't mine look like the picture? Mine is very dark in color-not very appealing to look at-i cant tell if it's from the cinnamon or overmixing the strawberries....still tasty-the kids think its ugly and wont eat it....lol

Mexican Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2013
This is really really good but it needs salt. Alot of it. Also it tastes much better cold. the flavors blend nice. I used two TBSP of the taco mix as it didn't taste like much...also added cilanto from my garden to give it a jump start. Will make again, i really liked the combo

Mediterranean Quinoa Salad

Reviewed: May 31, 2013
LOVED IT. This was soo good-I made it true to the recipe but my family thought that it had way too much lemon. I will make this again for sure but will decrease the lemon, use half the bullion (husband has trouble with salt) and go with it. the flavors of the olives (do not skimp...use the kalamata for sure) really do make this dish-I put this on the top of my grilled balsamic chicken rather than mix it in so that i would have control over the amount of chicken i got...my kids tend to pick it out and leave me with none..very nice-

PHILADELPHIA Marble Brownies

Reviewed: May 8, 2013
I didn't like this recipe. I thought it had a wierd texture and was kind of flat. felt like the cream cheese mixture was a waste of time becuase it didn't add any flavor. Won't make this one again.

Lasagna Roll Ups

We loved these! I did leave out the tofu because I didn't have any but what a quick meal that looks like you were at the stover longer.....very yummy. I would mess around with this one next time and possibly put other things I like in the filling.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2013
Oh my good golly gosh! this was probably one of the best side dishes i have ever had! I have been afraid of Risotto for years...people telling me how bad you have to slave over it...don't over cook...well it's worth every moment at the stove! Taste often as it cooks though....i made it exact-i will say that making a meat and veg were challenging...someone told me to make a meat in the oven and that helped if you have no one to tend to your grill-fantastic.....

Chocolate Chip Apple Cake

This is super good! I made it exact to the recipe. The only problem I had was I couldn't get it out of the bunt pan-so we ate it out of it! Guess I didn't grease enough-worth making-

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
These are definately worth making! I will say I double checked the other ratings right before I mixed my ingredients because I didn't see egg. I thought someone forgot it! Anyhow I did let the batter sit for a few minutes and the liquid came out of the zucchini a bit and made it easier to mix-i cooked it exactly 24 minutes and it seems not totally cooked but it was. Very Nice. I will keep for my extra garden zucchini this summer!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
These were super good but the egg in the cookie dough kinda threw me. I have made cookie dough for my kids a hundred times and it doesn't call for egg because they eat it raw. When you freeze the cookie ball it really doesn't "cook"-mine cupcake wasn't cold in the middle but I was questioning if it hit the temp it should have-it was not hot in the middle but all else was cooked. I think i will not use the egg and see what it does to the consistency next time...super delicious though..

Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2012
This was soooooo gooooood....I felt like i had to add alot of salt but once I got the balance it was fantastic-the last of the squash from the summer garden...the only thing that I did different is that I used a nice Veggie Stock that I had made from my garden that had incredible flavor-was trying to keep it very veggie for my daughter-I will hold onto this recipe and make again, i am going to try and freeze it next time-none left to freeze this time...

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2012
I loved this recipe! I made it exact for Thanksgiving-the only thing i did not end up doing was putting all the brown sugar mixture over the top....i thought it was a bit too much-i also put it in a 9 x 9 casserole and didn't think that it was too much-just enough actually-i will make this again, my kids loved it and my husband actually liked it too and he doesn't care for sweet potato.....nice recipe.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

This was fantastic! I made this recipe for Thanksgiving, as I don't like the traditional fried onion one....i made it the day before-i have to say it tasted a bit strong of onion the night i made it but everything blended nice for Thanksgiving dinner. Will make again for sure!

Frank's® Red Hot® Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2012
I LOVED this recipe-it was soooo addicting...i gave the recipe out at my party because everyone enjoyed it-made it exact..with the buffalo wing sauce and used the mozzerella-only because i don't "love" alot of blue cheese. devine-will make over and over again....

Lighter Spaghetti Alfredo with Cauliflower

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2012
Who would have thought? I wasn't sure if I could pass this off on my family since they are alfredo lovers....it was one of thier favorite dishes on the website so far! I didn't have the type of blender described so i blended small batches in my regular blender and returned it to the heat-a bit more time consuming but well worth it! Another great recipe Chef John--keep up the good work!
