Easy Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2012
This recipe is delicious! The only thing I did differently is saute the onions AND tomatoes together in the pan first, then puree the cooked mixture in a blender to make it smooth. I like a very smooth sauce, so I wanted to make sure there weren't any chunks in it. THEN I transferred the hot mix back to a sauce pan to add the vodka and the cream. The kind of vodka you use does make a difference! Splurge and buy a really good vodka! Not saying you have to buy Grey Goose, but DO NOT buy stuff like Nikolai, Vlad, or Bankers Club for this recipe or it will turn out awful!!! (Personal preference)

Spinach Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
Oh these bring back memories... my grandma always made these, so they remind me of her. I love spinach balls :) They're so addicting! I think she used mozzarella cheese, can't remember.

Candy Corn Cupcakes

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
I have done a similar cupcake design for Christmas with alternating red and green batter and it turned out fine. The other reviewer is right, this is about presentation. So, if the coloration doesn't work out then I would alter the drop count. Also, personally, I would eliminate the green since there is no brown color in the candy candy... just use drops of orange and drops of yellow for each separate bowl of batter (if you don't have orange, red and yellow are fine...) and use as many drops as needed for the perfect color for you. I really like making cupcakes with these different coloring patterns because they can really be festive :) I will definitely be making a candy corn cupcake for Thanksgiving!!!

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
This is EXACTLY the recipe I use when making German Potato Salad and it never lasts long at parties. Even though it is very unhealthy for you (considering the sauce IS the bacon grease...), it is still so delicious. I was hoping to find a similar recipe to what I use at home, and I am happy to find the exact same ingredients in yours :)

Crescent Bacon-Cheddar Pinwheels

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
I love this recipe!! I tried it with minced jalapenos instead of green onions for a kick and it was delicious. I'm going to keep experimenting with different cheeses and perhaps a breakfast-version with sausage, egg, and hashbrown. This has so many possibilities!
